This made me feel like I had to try it. Now the hair, I've always been worried about my hair being messed up at salons. But decided to take a chance as I wanted to have a layered haircut while keeping my hair long and framing my face, Alice delivered. When she washed my hair, her hands were so massaging. And the products she used felt so good on my hair. The haircut suited my face really well. I used to hate haircuts as a kid, but thanks to Alice, my opinion has surely changed.

They said the price was $45 which is much cheaper than what I pay where I live. The issue is that the girl that cut my hair is just learning ( therefore the price I assume) I could have someone at home do my haircut. I don't mind someone learning but another senior person at the salon should have come to review and show this girl how to do it better, so right now I'm still in need of a good haircut and out of $55 with the tip. I got in several minutes before my appointment and had to wait another 20-30 minutes to actually be taken in. All of the staff were friendly and social, although they tend to throw out compliments perhaps a little too insincerely or unjustifiably (but what salon does that not happen at?). The hairstylist who cut my hair was very sweet and kept the whole experience quite pleasant. Since what I wanted (only about 1/4 inch trimmed from the bottom of my fairly straight hair) did not require a lot of technical skills, I cannot comment on her ability to manage more complicated haircuts. I was also a little alarmed that my hairstylist did not seem to understand the importance of periodically trimming ends of hair so as to remove the dried out and split-end hairs. I was charged $25 for a simple trim with no wash or dry. I think that is a little steep considering what she did, but still my haircut was even on the bottom and overall fine. Overall, I would call this establishment mediocre.

I'd spent nearly $200 and got less than expected, so I called to see if the stylist could just put two more highlights in. Was told that bc I couldn't come in right away, since I was going out of town for 10 days, there would be a charge for a "redo." Corporate policy. I explained that I was traveling and couldn't come in for almost two weeks, and didn't need a redo anyway, just two highlights, one on each side. It didn't matter. This was not Hanes Mill Rd as given in the pulldown, but another in Winston-Salem, and I assume all salons would be as rigid.
