The life-size statue of Big Daddy (from BioShock) that greets you at the bar is kinda cool though. Select doesn't compare well with similar establishments, like Cybermachina. I found it rather lacking in atmosphere. The bar is also weak, selling only bottled beers. The place does have the distinct advantage of size. There's probably enough room for a hundred people. If you're hosting a party of 20, 30 people, Select would have no problem accommodating you.

The people that work there are extremely nice, very personable, and really make things fun. We were interested in possibly booking a tour of Auschwitz and also the salt mines. The young lady and the gentleman who helped us, Paula and Paulo, were both very honest with us and told us that we would be okay on our own with the Auschwitz tour, but we're better suited to take a group tour for the salt mines. So, we booked a tour to the salt mines. The company provided transportation to and from the salt mines, which was easily located in the main part of the city. Once on the bus which was very comfortable, we made our way to the Salt lines. Everything was organized very well, we all got stickers, and it was very little unnecessary waiting period the guide was even smart enough to let people know when they should probably try to go to the restroom, because there would be a while before we had access to another one. Everything was well-organized, the people were super friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and the tour itself was good. I would absolutely use these folks again if I had to book a tour while in Krakow Poland, and I recommend you do the same!

We liked the laid back ambiance and secret spaces in this fun atmosphere. We also enjoyed the kind service and vintage Polish books to peruse while waiting for our coffee. The intimate atmosphere was memorable and we would return when in Krakow next. I appreciated that the coffee was drinkable immediately.
