We've been taking our dogs here for years. I really appreciate the attention they give to Morgan,…read more they are all so lovely with her. They listen to me and give me honest opinions. I drive two hours to take my dog to them because I trust them. I went to another clinic in the city and that vet had recommended unnecessary surgery to remove a fat lump off my dog that was right by her tail. My vet said if we went through with the surgery the site would have a hard time healing because of the location and it wasn't necessary as it wasn't causing her pain. I trust them and the advice they give.

The last owner was so amazing and I travelled halfway across Canada come see her but now that she doesn't own it anymore the services are so bad there's new staff they are so rude and obnoxious. They make you feel like you are below them. I would totally recommend you not going to this veterinarian clinic in Clinton. When they treated my dog, I asked certain questions they were very stuck up like you don't know was the look in their face and All I want the vet was to do was explain things more clearly. And come to find out they also had the wrong medical chart up it wasn't even my dog good thing I did ask questions or she could've been treated for something that didn't even pertain to her. They should be on top of that , you would think that's important. They are not compassionate and they really don't care so why take your animals there I will not be. And the medication that they gave my dog cost $300 and it didn't clear up her infection, not even one little bit. The old staff was so much better it's a sin they are gone now. Especially the front staff was the rudest she tried to misconstrue everything that I try to say and when I ask questions she didn't want to answer them obviously you're not supposed ask questions I guess. They get very defensive and very fast. Almost to the point that she was calling me stupid in around about way. Please I beg you don't take your pets to this clinic I don't want anyone else to go through what I did this morning. Also I want to mention that when I first went into the clinic last week the vet was telling me that My dog had been in here for her teeth before not once has my dog been in there for teeth so I'm wondering when and I'm asking questions and come to find out she had the wrong dogs files. who's dog I don't know but none that didn't belong to me. Wrong charts for the wrong dog could've went severely wrong I am glad I stepped up and started asking questions. You would think they'd be on top of this.

Well I saw the parents and yes he's big. I picked a male and the largest of the litter. I paid extra to have pain medication for him on the way home and then when I called to see when he should have pain medication again I was told he wasn't given any. His chip says Husky cross which is fine and if that's how people see him however once again he is a Pomsky. I was asked if I would like his nails done free of charge while he was under and I agreed. Only to find that wasn't done neither. He's recovered fine however this left a really bad experience that isn't inexpensive and I expected a more professional staff especially because my experience in Port Elgin has always been exceptional.

I called and I spoke to this woman named Mallory and she was most ignorant person I've ever spoken to so I spoke to another person that I thought would be better but they were no better. I told him it was just a cash cow that they're making money off of people's hurts and can't even ask question answer questions when their dog is dying. They couldn't answer a simple question? They know how dogs die and if they go in to Sears or not and that's my question is I was wondering if she was going into a seizure.. so they gave me a website to go to and I'm like well how are they going to tell my dog is going through a seizure by a video when you can't even tell on the phone yourself? You should know you're supposed to be an animal health Tech apparently. I wouldn't trust these guys because they are all about money and they will try to get your pet in there for a visit so you pay $400 for nothing. We contacted Forest Veterinary Clinic and although one of the hardest days for our family this clinic was so welcoming, understanding, caring and compassionate. This vet spent time with us, explaining everything in detail. They never made us feel rushed. They They made the experience very peaceful and Max was surrounded by his loved ones. The room was so relaxing with dim lights, a big soft comfy bed for Max and comfortable chairs for the family. It felt like being at home, Max wasn't scared and that was such a comforting feeling. It was also very clean. One of the kindest vets I've met. The staff was amazing. Her prices were the going rate as I had already priced this procedure out through our vet back home. Actually, they even offered as many paw and nose prints for FREE as we wanted. We don't get anything for free in the GTA area. This clinic deserves 10 stars. I recommend this clinic and vet. Wish we lived closer .

I had been going there for 2 years and no one ever checked her teeth. I assumed when they did her checkup and expensive bloodwork that they would have naturally checked her teeth. The bill(s) were $1200 and $900 - 2 visits, and they found nothing wrong with my cat. Thankfully I got a decent Vet there and she pointed out that my Mittens needed 2 teeth pulled and the cost would be $1200, but she had the wrong teeth...I talked to the Manager about why this hadn't been brought to my attention sooner and she just did not care and said 'Of course they checked her teeth' Worst Place Ever. A total rip off. I then went to another Vet in Sarnia who did xrays, bloodwork etc. and it will cost me $1800.00 b/c her teeth were in such bad shape. I booked an appointment with him...South Sarnia Vet. He showed me her teeth, 2 of which need to be pulled (not the same ones as Forest Vet Clinic told b/c they just guessed) and they were shocking. I am so glad I found a REAL Doctor.

The one on her belly had grown and I was hoping to book her in for surgery to have it removed. The vet took her into a room, does an exam on her and tells me this is a very unhealthy dog...he wanted to do x-rays. After that was done, he brings me into a room to show me the pictures...he tells me her heart and liver are very inflammed. He recommended I have needle biopsies done to see what the lumps are...he suspects Cancer...couldn't tell me enough that my dog was very sick. I left her with him to get the biopsies done. After spending $800.00 on biopsies, he calls me to come get her and tells me the results were inconclusive. I brought her home and she was so out of it, she couldn't lift her head. I thought she was going to die..I rushed her to an emergency vet who hooked her up to IV right away..she was EXTREMELY dehydrated. I told him about her X-ray...he said her heart sounds fine...it's not something he would have considered even looking at..he was confused as to why the needle biopsies were even done...especially on her mammary glands considering she had just finished her heat cycle. I took her back to her regular vet...I had moved and it was a bit of a drive...but at this point I was confused. Turns out they were pretty confused too. Her heart and liver were HEALTHY!! She had her tummy lump removed...it biopsied clear of Cancer. This office took me for a few thousand dollars and HURT MY DOG!! MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS JULIEGAMBLE618@GMAIL.COM if you want to reach out and talk to me about what happened. As far as I'm concerned you owe me the money I gave you AND the money for the emergency vet after you almost killed my dog!

I had worked in Veterinary Medicine for years, and had never heard of that but let it go. I also asked about a cone for his procedure upon pickup, and was told "he should be fine". By Tuesday he was unable to hold his urine, straining to pee, and hind end shaking. Wednesday he was vomiting, didn't sleep at all in the night, and would not eat. Still straining to pee and urinating all over the house (on accident). I called to speak with someone on this, and I was told I would need to make an appointment. I explained that they were over an hour from me (this is not my regular vet, it is the vet the rescue used), and asked if they would be waving my exam fee to be seen since he was just in on Monday. Again, after working in vet med it is pretty customary to get a free recheck after a procedure. I was cut off while asking and was just told "That is completely up to the Doctor". Got it. Can someone please ask before I drive over an hour each way or pay my regular vet to fix a problem that he did not start? I told her never mind, and contacted my regular vet. My regular vet said that he also had never heard of a standard neuter resulting in such an exorbitant amount of antibiotics, and wondered if there was some sort of contamination during the procedure that I was not made aware of. My vet also mentioned that the pain medication that he was put on, is really not standard for the procedure that he was given. I spent $400 at my current vet (more than the cost of the neuter), and we are hoping that they did not do any internal damage which is making it hard for him to hold his bladder, or be unsure when to release it. Overall, I am not pleased with the level of care OR the client service. I would not recommend you bring your pet here, and based upon the reviews there is an overall lack of care by many. Save your pets and your wallets, find another provider.
