Extremely efficient and detail oriented, discussed scenarios for all the possible future outcomes, very pleasant in speaking with him. My 94 year old mother said he was very easy to speak with as well during her session. leaving her very pleased when we left. Everything was accomplished in 2 easy sessions with instructions on the homework we had between them. I felt very comfortable with the finished product and would highly recommend John to anyone looking for estate planning in addition to other attorney needs one may have.

This was hands down the WORST experience I've had with a legal service…read more Paid more than $300 for a 1 hr consultation I wasn't allowed into. When setting up the meeting I explained in very specific detail ALL family members needed and wanted to be involved 8n the meeting. Due to what we were trying to do and everyone being on the same page straight from the "horse's mouth" situation. It was agreed to by all, to include the legal office, up until the actual meeting. My father, brother and I were left waiting 35 mins on a dial in line and NO one came in to give us an update or status . The paralegal couldn't even say when my sister who was in person entered the room because she was "busy". They took my money, changed to rules, then left me out. They are not professional or trustworthy in my opinion.

Dathan himself was able to explain in simple terms legal documents to my elderly mother and he was incredibly knowledgeable. We are very lucky to have lawyers in town like Dathan who want to take care of clients.

Made many promises about actions or timelines which, in the fullness of time, were either disingenuous or unfulfilled. Allowed our case to languish for four years. I often felt gaslighted by his choice of interpretation of events which appeared to be selectively motivated to excuse routine canceled sharing, alienating tactics, unilateral parental decisions, etc. He articulated numerous troubling statements regarding his sense of the father's roles and timesharing. (IE. I should be grateful I had "so much more time[sharing] than so many other fathers", "the best thing you can do is walk away", and angrily telling me, "You can have one or four days [every two weeks], I don't care!") Too often he derided my intellectual ability to understand his decisions rather than provide meaningful insights. I found his leadership to be ineffectual and untimely for recurring childcare concerns. Ultimately, he discharged himself from our case and left my future parental involvement on behalf of my children in a precarious and disempowered state. If you are a father, I would not recommend his services as a Guardian Ad Litem. He was unwilling to value the idea of equal fatherly involvement or something on par with the mother's role in decisions for our children.

Thanks to his work, I have Moms estate settled in only a couple month. My brothers is ongoing, but will be done soon. When I needed a more currently dated Letter of Administration for a 401K of my brothers, he promptly got a newly dated one and sent it off to the company with his 401K. Dealing with both was a terrible experience even though they both tried to convince me that it wasn't the whole time and I ended up being taken advantage of by people I paid to help me. They care about themselves and their paychecks first, and if your lucky, maybe they'll do something to help encourage fairness and not slip things into paperwork that they talk thru so you can't focus fully while your signing. Terrible experience for me and financially gainful for him and his real estate buddy. He did the very least he could for the most amount possible.
