They told me no, and when I asked if the gas station had a camera they told me no. But I'm sure every gas station you go to is equipped with cameras. So I decided to get in touch with someone from their store and I had asked them if they have any cameras at this pacific location and they told me yes. So I told them that I had called and one of their employee told me they didn't have any. Really suspicious. Then they also told me that someone will check into the surveillance camera on the day I was there pumping gas and would get back to me in a 48-72 hours. I said okay. A week goes by nobody has gotten in touch with me. So I decided to reach out again and they told me the same thing that they'll escalate it to management and someone will get in touch with me within 3-5 business days. I said okay. Another week goes by no one still hasn't reach out to me and now I'm getting very upset. So I called and reach out to someone again and ask them what's taking so long for someone to contact me because now its been almost a month since someone gotten in touch with me. So I asked if I should go there in person and as soon as I said that they got back to me right away. So they were reviewing the camera and once they got to the date I was there. They claim there were no footage of me from the time I was there but there was a clip from an hour after I was there. Very fishy!! And also said they only have motion sensor and that the camera didn't show the last pump I was at. So after all this. I don't think I'll ever bring my business here or to any bjs wholesale store after this experience. I don't want make a huge deal even though I was sad because my whole life was pretty much in that wallet.

However instead of taking the VISA card from my wallet, I mistakenly took the American Express card! OK, I filled my tank and was charged $ 32.15 and the gas pump issued a receipt for that amount. Upon arriving home, back in NY 6/26/25, I looked at my American Express card statement online and see that East Coast Gas charged me $ 100.00. OK, I can understand a penalty, but an extra $ 67.85!!!!! I looked for East Coast Gas online and finally saw a site with a phone number listed for it - 617-926-4325. I called that number several times and each time was told - "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again." I guess East Coast Gas does not want any phone calls. There always seems to be spots available for filling up your tank and the pumps even have a lever, so you can go hands-free while you wait for your tank to fill up. There's also a little screen that plays weather, news etc. while you wait. The station is getting renovated and it will soon feature a small shop for coffee, baked goods and deli meats! Looking forward to that happening.
