Horrible place to do business! I recently was sent here by State Farm because my honda accord was hit by their customer. The car that was brought to me was dirty (inside & out), smelled like a boys locker room, had damage to the gas tank door, rattled loudly when the brakes were used & had issues with gas because it took a 1/2 tank to drive from Newark to grandview & back (nissan versa). When I requested a different vehicle, they sprayed perfume in another car and tried to give me that. I left the facility without a car & waited for a family member to pick me up. read more

Horrible customer service!! Made and paid for my rental a month in advance, I go to pick-up the car and they don't have it. They offer a truck. I am going to the beach with 5 teenagers a truck would NOT work. The Manager was not nice at all. Was given two different stories of why the vehicle wasn't there. If you are looking for rude service, this is the place. I'm assuming this is not a company store as the staff would have been sent home a long time ago. If you want to be insulted, ask for Amanda....she's special! Her rudeness was so extreme I wasn't mad, just disappointed I didn't have the conversation recorded so I could post it on YouTube. As a long time Hertz Gold Plus member and always treated extremely well, I have used Hertz whenever possible. After Amanda all but hung up on me I immediately cancelled the reservation and used Avis. Horrible customer service...the car came to us dirty, low on gas, and smelled bad....the manager was our point of contact even...we have the elite status with them...we left 2 pair of sunglasses in the visor glasses holder, we called them the same day, the manager said she would check and call us back the next business day....no one ever called...Sooooo we went to the Hertz dealer 2 days later asking if we could look for them or if they happened to find any. The manager lady kept saying that "We check our vehicles thoroughly.." and refused to let us. It was like she was trying her best not to help at all, giving her best effort to combating anything we said. She then told us that the car was rented out again already...then asked what type, model we had rented...haha....we said a Toyota camry..."We have lots of Camrys, I can't tell which one you had." She said...we have the rental paper right here we said....nope. I now see why they have a single star rating, because you can't give a zero. Shameful. read more

Guy helping did a good job by over all service was so slow because there was only one person working. No one answering phones. And everyone in line was pissed off cause they too had been waiting an hour or so. The room was filled with anxiety. Car selection is crap too. read more

Stay away from this Hertz location. The manager is very rude and she will push you out the door whether she fully went through the rental agreement or not. The cars are clean and well up kept, but the customer service is the worst I have ever seen. If you do not want to be charged extra through the back door, I recommend you stay away from this location. read more

DON'T DO IT! DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. If I could rate lower than one star this company would be in the negatives. Enterprise will pick you up. Hertz will let you down. Let me explain. I booked a reservation 3 Weeks in advance and prepaid. When I showed up they no longer had a car for me. Obviously I had to cancel my reservation and make other arrangements which cost me even more money. I asked the guy working there how long it would be until my money was refunded. He said to give it 2-3 days. I thought cool, I will still be on vacation and will get my extra costs back. On the 4th day I called to check on the status of my refund, and was told it usually takes 5-7 business days... On the 6th business day from my cancellation (when my vacation was over) I went back to the office. The assistant manager came out and told me "typically we don't issue refunds on prepaid cancellations". He said I could call billing(who I already spoke with once), and see what they could do for me. Let me just stop for a second and say "are you kidding me?" I had prepaid $252 and because I cancelled and inconvenienced you, you throw a smug comment like that out there and completely forget that I, the customer, was horribly inconvenienced, but I guess the customers and how they are affected really doesn't matter. So I call billing... again... this time I was told it would be a full refund 5-7 business days from when it's processed... but they were knocking out the processing so she didn't expect it would take that long. Ugh!!! I was practically out of food and diapers for my child at this point... but hertz doesn't care. They will do it when they do it.I called once again after 8-9 business days. I was told my refund was processed on the 14th and they would be surprised if I didn't have it by that Friday.... SURPRISE!!! It is now the following Tuesday and I have not received my refund still. I just got off the phone with billing again. The first person told me that my refund had not been processed yet and that it would take, you guessed it 5-7 business days. I told this person I would like to speak to a manager. The manager got on the phone and before I could say a word, she said, your refund was processed yesterday... you should check your bank account on Thursday to see if it has posted yet. Somebody is lying! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. In what world is it ok to not render any services at all and then keep somebody's refund for 3 weeks. This is the most disorganized and incompetent company, claiming customer service that I have ever seen. I have more customer service skills in my left thumb than this company has as a whole. I can promise you this is one company I will NEVER use again. If they were the only option I had to drive myself, I would uber and hitch hike wherever I needed to go, even if it cost me double. In my almost three weeks of dealing with this refund issue, I got smug comments about not having to refund me, delays, explanations and excuses regarding my refund and why I still don't have it, but some of the things I never got was a discount offer(not that I would take one in a million years), the slightest feeling that anyone I talked to was going to make it right, and I didnt even get an APOLOGY. I may not even wait until Thursday but I am thinking if I don't have it by then, I will file fraudulent charges with my bank. I have been more than patient to this point and it has gotten me nothing. ***go to the hertz at the columbus airport********* hers why : i booked a reservation 2 months in advance for a nissan versa, got to the shop 1 day before @ noon like i was suppose too, so i can hit the road for myrtle beach, my options on cars were an altima or a ford f150..... and i only got to pick what the person in front of me didnt, and they called for a suv and didnt get what they asked for either. so lucky for me i got to take the altima, but so sad for the people behind me who booked for a van and this shitty herzt location didnt have any cars for them to take at all. after finally getting the shitty altima, which didnt have any gas in it, and was falling apart, the guy didnt even inspect it and it was filthy. so after i took it to the gas station filled it up and did some errands with it, the check engine light came on. not only was service at this shop so fucking terrible, they apperantly only rent shitty cars. so i called the hertz in columbus to exchange it. while driving to columbus the car shook the whole way, and kept on backfiring like it was gonna die. thank god the hertz people in columbus know how to do their fucking job, and they exchanged the peice of shit altima for what i ordered the first time, nissa versa. it was a smooth ride all the way to the beach and back no problems. dont got to this location ever! they fucking suck so much. i will never be using hertz again and im going to make sure everyone knows to stay away from your shitty location. thanks for nothing but headache and wasted time. read more
