I originally rented a car through Budget, which was a nightmare. They gave me an EV that I had not ordered and refused to fix the issue after making me wait 45 minutes for them to come back to the counter. (I needed to drive to Denver in a certain amount of time, so I wouldn't be able to wait while the car charged while on my trip) The gentleman at the Hertz counter was kind and very helpful. He went out of his way to bring the car to the front so that I didn't have to walk through the rain with my infant son. I wish I would have gotten his name, but I greatly appreciated his hospitality with the amount of frustration I was experiencing. the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star was that the rental was 4 times the amount of my original rental, but I am grateful that I wasn't stranded at the airport. read more

Average car rental experience, the wait was short when getting and returning the vehicle. The pricing is a little higher, but this is expected fir the location. Easy access to the rentsl car lot and return was simple and fast. read more

Hertz Rent A Car - Toyota 4 runner. - Car Rental Near Me - Casper, Wyoming

We landed just after another plane so the wait time was long. I did get a nice upgrade to a Jeep Cherokee. Everything went smoothly. There is no one in the morning and I was billed accordingly by noon. read more

Upon checking in to get a car to travel to a new job in another state, Brad William the hertz employee said he will not and don't have to give me a car and that reservations are meaningless and was very rode. In all my years renting from hertz and have never been meet or treaded so badly. This reservation was made a week prier and was set up for work to support my family and with a devilish laugh said to bad for you we don't have to give you a retail car even if you have a reservation. This employee was the worst I have ever encountered in my life. I am very upset and will be posting a more detail review on social media and other news outlets to get my story out. read more

Absolutely over charged and they are not transparent with charges and fees. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. They are deceitful and misleading with their billing. I was told one price and got charged $200 extra! The manager is zero help and doesn't see any issue with not disclosing the $200 in fees. Stay away!!! read more

Hmmm... So I'm not one post reviews, but after having an odd experience, thought I'd share. Husband reserved large SUV (after our can broke down on vacation), done online since there was no answer at the desk. Needed to fit 6 adult people. I went to pick up, knowing rental cars can be "similar, not exact model." Attendant was sitting at desk, feet up on desk, talking on cell and playing with hair and nails. Told us car we reserved was not available. She Went to the lot to check on other cars. Came back and said a Forerunner would work/fit us. 3 people over 6 feet tall, 3 other adults. Ya, NO! Tried to have me sign waiver of damages without visual inspection. I asked to have charge voided as she had already run my credit card. Said she couldn't. Only manager could reverse charges. Something tells me we will be taking this up with our credit card company. Not a good experience indeed! read more

Worst rental experience of my life. A bunch of incompetent fools. It took them two hours to get me a car, and nearly gave that one away, after they did give one promised to me away before that. They went over nothing in the contract because they were too distracted by not being able to do their job. As a result, they cost me at least 50 bucks in gas. The manager, Brad, couldn't care less how long things were taking or that he had no idea to do his job. On top of that, corporate didn't care about one detail of this story, even though I had an employee in the company that could testify to their problems. I'm not evening putting my whole story here but it was one that deserved some sympathy and they gave me none. read more

I had a great experience! The staff was helpful and they did their jobs. I got into a nice car for a small upgrade. I checked everything on my contract and paid what I expected. Everything went smoothly and the car was very nice!!! read more

RENTERS BEWARE!!!!! Would give these guys a no star rating if it was allowed. Got in late on a delayed flight to Casper from Denver. Hadn't slept in 30 hours and was super tired. Had made a reservation for an intermediate SUV which should have been a Jeep Cherokee or comparable. When talking to the lady at the desk she said they had a Toyota 4 Runner and acted like it was in the same class as the Jeep. Drove 12 miles from the airport to the hotel. Didn't look at the bill or fuel level until the next morning and discovered that it was an upgrade charge of $20/day and the fuel was less than half a tank. Got into the vehicle that morning and discovered the mileage was 1400 miles higher than on the contract. Went back to the Hertz location and talked to the manager and explained what was going on. Had put less than 35 miles on the rental and had it for 19 hours total at this point. He refused to let me keep the vehicle for the same price as my reservation and didn't want to work with me at all on rectifying the situation. Kept trying to stick me in a Rav 4 and telling me that it was in the same class as the Jeep which of course he no longer had available. Walked out with a bill for $165.94 for 19 hours. Then the manager had the audacity to email me an audited bill for $389.54 based off the wrong mileage and fuel charge when they clearly hadn't checked the vehicle since the last time it was rented before I got it. If they aren't checking fuel and mileage what else aren't they checking??? Called Hertz customer care and they claimed they couldn't do anything because it was a privately owned Hertz location. Emailing in a complaint to their customer complaint department is all you can really do. I won't ever rent from Hertz again. These guys are a bunch of crooks. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and disputing all charges with my credit card company. read more
