No....just don't. We…read moredidn't have a great experience with Europcar. Hubs reserved a VW Golf, thinking it would be a good road car that would also be on the smaller side for city driving. When we arrived, we were given a grossly underpowered Renault Clio. Hubs asked for the Golf and was (rather rudely) told we had a reservation for a "Golf or similar". Ok, apparently Europcar's definition of "similar" is that both cars had 4 wheels... Anyway, our 1st GPS unit didn't work properly as it was convinced we were 50 miles away from where we actually were, so we had to drive back to the rental facility and wait 20 minutes for a new one. We had arranged to return the car in Dusseldorf -the rental station was supposed to be open until 3 but you guessed it...we arrived right at 3 and no one was home. That meant we had to navigate to the 24-hour station across town where yet again, the clerk was barely civil. Our car was clean and in working order but was a lower quality vehicle than what we reserved and paid for. It's no fun driving on the Autobahn in a converted lawn mower that maxes out at 130kmh. Meh.

The car rental agent and car…read morerental manager at that rental car facility provided me with the BEST SERVICE of any car rental agency in the U.S. I rent cars at least three times a month from National (associated with Enterprise) and the service in the US is always great but, I have to admit the Frankfurt Airport Car Rental Agents were courteous, explained the rental agreement, gave me a choice of vehicle.... My experience with the Munich Airport Car Rental center was very limited as I simply turned in the car and was informed that my final bill would be sent to my email address. It came right away. GREAT JOB ENTERPRISE AND NATIONAL CAR RENTAL!!!

I needed to book a specific car on a specific time to start vacation under a tight time schedule…read more Clerk did call me 4 h ahead offering me a to be upgraded car which means on top plus 250€, which I refused. As my wife needed to catch the car, only the upgrade car was available to be booked with additional insurance only. Having kids and all set and done to start under pressure, there was no chance to start discussing for alternatives. This was a 250€ plus "fun" on top. Basically, if you need to rely 100% on what you booked, don't go Enterprise car rental.
