    Hertz presidents circle line? Ridiculous

    Car rentals are getting worse and worse. Booked through hertz online as a president circle member. Idk why I can't just pick my car and just go. There was a long line to get cars when everyone was on a time crunch. I just picked whatever car they delivered next in line bc I didn't want to waste my time. I've booked several times and the cars always smell like weed or cigarettes. I didn't even feel like I am getting an upgrade and the president circle membership holds no meaning. There's always a long line in the customer service office and to get out of the parking lot. The car drop off is pretty much the only thing that is smooth. The shuttle drivers are good.

    There was no physical problem with the employee and I. However the issue was the rate I was charged. I was charged 180 through Delta from Jan 3 to Jan 7th. However when I called to see about also doing the military discount, the male on the phone said my rate was 412 all of a sudden. An then he changed it to 340. I went back to the counter and the nice lady helped me and we both saw that my rate was STILL 412. However she was kind enough to help me with a courtesy upgrade. Very bad experience with what is actually paid. 0/10 for transparency and phone customer service. 10/10 for hertz in person location at LAX.

    I was very anxious when I checked in after reading the negative reviews. You don't even need to take Uber to this place, you can take a free airport shuttle to pick up the vehicle. Yes I received an email saying I need to check in and "pick a vehicle" so this made me panic when it said the vehicle I picked was not available. When I arrived to the parking lot, there were countless number of cars you can pick from. The process was relatively easier than what I thought. They also have nice cars for an upgrade. People here complain about ridiculous things only to trigger my anxiety. The process was a breeze and it's true when you leave the gate with your rental car there is a bit of a wait, but it is reasonable for a busy area by LAX. I would say I waited only 15 mins. Don't let people's silly complaints give you anxiety, it's literally a good place to rent from and I am very picky person. The car I received also smelled really good, and was very clean. Every car I tried was sparkly clean with no dust or strange smells inside. The shuttle also came very quick. I didn't have to wait more than 2 mins. I got in the shuttle and went straight to the company with no worries. The driver was also nice and helped me pick up my suitcase.

    Something that was once smooth, fair and reasonable - is now filled with delays, price trickery, bad service, horrible check in process, forced me to either stand in line for who knows how long or pick a more costly car I didn't want via an online process - horrible

    I had higher hopes for this place. I reserved a car here for the holiday weekend being that they had better prices. I gave them 1 star because when I picked up the car I checked in on line and didn't have to make that huge line at LAX location. I received an email with the slot where the car was parked for me to just pick it up I saved myself the counter hassle. But when I got to the car it was so dirty it looked like they didn't even was there car! The seats were all stained. I just took the car because I was on a time crunch and didn't want to spend an hour in line to speak to someone. As I'm driving the car (1 hour into my drive) ants start coming out of the door panels! The car was literally infested with ants. I had ants crawling on my arms from the steering wheel! I tried calling the location and all I got was a voicemail! I called the 800 number and after multiple calls of being on hold for 30 plus minutes they would hang up my call! I gave up trying to reach them and made it to my destination. When I returned the car I explained everything that had happened showed them videos and pictures of all these ants and all I got was a credit for next rental!!! I wanted a discount on my current rental as it happened with that car! Why would I want to come back?!? The lady that helped me was very nice and apologetic and I know this was coming from her manager as the manager never came out just had the lady going back and forth. I felt bad for her because I could tell she wanted to do more. Just a bad experience

    I recently visited the new LAX Rental Car Terminal to exchange a vehicle I initially received from…read morethe Woodland Hills location. My vehicle is currently in the shop, so this rental was intended to be a comparable loaner. I chose the LAX location specifically because of its size, assuming they would have better inventory options. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After returning my vehicle, I waited at the customer service desk for two hours. The process was extremely slow, and the overall attitude felt nonchalant and unresponsive, and no rush and do not care. After all that time, I was ultimately given a downgraded vehicle, which completely defeated the purpose of coming to a larger location. I also attempted to contact Enterprise during and after this experience, but there appears to be no effective system in place to resolve customer concerns. Every representative I spoke with deferred responsibility, promising escalation and follow-up "within a few days." It has now been several days with no response whatsoever. There was no acknowledgment of the excessive wait time, no effort to accommodate the situation, and no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. Here take this car this is what we have. I ended up going to Avis Rent A Car, where, as a Preferred Club member, I received significantly better service and immediate assistance. To be fair, the new LAX facility itself is very clean, modern, and well-designed. However, the customer service and communication structure do not match the quality of the building. Enterprise needs to do better particularly with communication, accountability, and timely resolution of customer issues. Response to Jean that was done no results after 4 days, no results just overall a negative experience. Simply responded contact Woodland Hills . Sent support a complaint online just as suggested no better!

On 10/2/2023 in Gardena, Marc Randolph made an improper left turn in front of oncoming traffic when he did not have the right of way, resulting in a serious collision. My 11‑year‑old son died from his injuries. Our 9‑year‑old daughter, who was also in the car, had to be extricated from the vehicle and sustained two broken bones in her left wrist. Marc has since been charged and found guilty in connection with this incident. Let's also not forget that Marc and his mother committed fraud by collecting donations on an unauthorized Go Fund Me account that was created by Marc's mother, in which she named Marc the beneficiary. Exploiting my son and his tragedy that was caused by Marc and then lied about what the funds would be used for and kept the money donated for themselves. I still never received an answer on where the money was used. What is especially alarming is that, despite this history of reckless driving and the devastating consequences of his actions, Sixt continues to employ him and allow him to drive their vehicles as a representative of their company. In addition, Sixt has refused to cooperate with child support services by verifying Marc's employment status, which appears to be necessary for him to be properly served with child support papers. This behavior reflects, in my view, a troubling lack of accountability and responsibility on the part of both the employee and the company.

    I recently returned a rental car and was told everything was good to go (my mistake for not asking…read morefor a receipt). Later that day, I was shocked to see I had been charged late fees and an extra day because the vehicle was never properly checked in. When I went back to the Fast Break counter, they weren't able to resolve the issue and brushed me off. Thankfully, I met DJ outside, and he completely turned the situation around. DJ went out of his way to personally locate the vehicle, investigate what happened, and make sure the rental was properly closed out. It turns out the original check-in was never processed. DJ showed exceptional customer service, professionalism, and genuine care. He didn't brush me off or pass me along, he owned the situation and fixed it. Cristina also assisted and was helpful throughout the process. Because of DJ, what started as a frustrating experience ended on a positive note. Employees like them make a huge difference. Thank you again! 5 stars for DJ!

I waited about 10 minutes. Once at the location, the line moved fairly quickly to get to the counter. I must have arrived at an off-peak time, the line was short. The cars are located in a large warehouse, so they are out of the sun and are not baking hot. They have you fill out a damage form to show any existing issues with the vehicle and then hand it to the attendant on the way out of the lot. I made sure to be very detailed in my walk through, just to be safe. Returning to the lot is simple, just pull in on the same road the shuttle came in on. The lot attendant will take the keys and finish up the transaction. The shuttle back to the airport picks you up from a canopy by that driveway. Overall, it went well. Just make sure to give a little extra time for transportation to and from the airport.

But Fox now offers a skip-the-line option for $49 per rental. That would have doubled my total charges, so I sucked it up and waited. I will not be back; Sixt and Payless don't treat me like this. Since you're reading this, do us all a favor: when it's your turn at the counter, 1) have your license and credit card ready; 2) NO you don't want insurance -- it's a ripoff and your own carrier will cover it; 3) NO you don't want to pre-pay for fuel and "bring it back empty" -- it's a ripoff and there's plenty of cheap gas within 10 miles of LAX; 4) NO you don't want an upgrade; 5) NO you don't need a Toll Pass. Well, maybe you do, but it's gonna be a ripoff. That's it: we're all waiting behind you, so step up, pay, take your keys, get out. Fox does not employ enough agents for every driver to have an in depth discussion about rental options. Stick to the script, hit the road.
