When we arrived, we check in right away and were helped to the testing station. Once they went over the security for the test, they took my son right into the room and he went right to work. It was easy, the people were friendly and it was a very positive environment. I observed lots of students in their tutoring center, all of whom were working hard and were engaged I think this is a great place to work and learn!!!

He is always available to discuss concerns I have and my son's progress with me. He even met with his math teacher, early in the year to better understand his teaching philosophy and how he conducts his class. My son is an athlete who has a difficult schedule to work around, but Mark worked hard to accommodate him. Mark has the option of in-person or virtual sessions, which were great for my son and he used both about equally. Amazingly enough, Mark also encouraged my son, to call him with any additional questions after sessions. So in addition to great local food and beverages, we went camping on the North coast, hiked the redwoods, tok a scenic flight to the coast and back, and wandered through the city. All the great things this place has to offer. In addition he wanted to learn how to play guitar and surf. I helped him with the surfing part and Mark gave him lessons for the month that he was here. They had sessions twice a week and after the second week he was playing a few basic songs. When asked why he was doing so well with this he replied. "Mark is an excellent instructor. He is passionate about his job and loves what he is doing. He is also a vey kind and patient teacher. He takes his time with me and makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. His organization and the information he provides about all of the schools are amazing and reduced the stress of having to research all of the small things for each school I was interested in. The way he guided me to write the essay was efficient and saved me a lot of time as I didn't have to write the same essay for another question that was similar to the last. I was able to finish my essays by August. It was a big relief and the whole process seemed very manageable with his help. His ability to provide fluidity in my writing and his knowledge of college admissions helped me especially because my writing was "impenetrable" or difficult for someone who didn't know me to understand. Besides the support he gave me with essays, he was also very easily accessible and understanding. I had his number and if there was anything that came up in the way of a meeting, I could just text him and I got a response in less than an hour. Any rescheduling of a meeting was simple and caused no trouble. Chris is a very straightforward person and gave me the support and advice I needed to write my essays.
