Run away. I would not use this company…read more I rarely write negative reviews, in fact, I don't think I've written any reviews in well over a decade, but I felt compelled to share my experience. Earlier this week, I contacted several hauling companies before deciding to go with Mendoza based on the quote I received over the phone. I shared several pictures and a video before our first call. During multiple conversations, I made it very clear that my biggest concern was avoiding a last-minute price increase on the day of the job. I explained that I was also considering renting a truck and doing the hauling myself, and that the quoted price would determine which option I chose. I repeated this concern several times, and each time I was reassured that the quoted price was accurate. Based on that, I booked the service, declined the other options, coordinated schedules, and confirmed the time and location again the night before. When he/they arrived, everything changed. Almost immediately, I was told the job would cost four times the quoted price. After nearly 30 minutes of going back and forth, and reminding them of our multiple conversations and the assurances I'd been given, they reduced the price somewhat. Even so, I still ended up paying nearly three times the original quote. By that point, I had people waiting, plans coordinated, and no realistic alternative. I felt I had little choice but to proceed. The most frustrating part wasn't the higher price, it was that I specifically raised this concern multiple times before booking and was repeatedly assured it wouldn't happen. If the original quote wasn't accurate, I wish they had been upfront from the beginning. Instead, the price changed only after they arrived, when it would have been extremely difficult for me to make other arrangements. That's just not ok, not cool. I would be very leery of using Mendoza Junk Removal.

It's difficult to say how grateful we are to know Johnny. He is an amazing craftsman. He's honest…read more His pricing is fair. His advice is always sound. We trust him. We can't recommend him enough. When you find a good general contractor you want to scream their name from the rooftops because you know how hard it is to find someone you trust to fix and build things in your home and do it right, and you want them to have work forever. We started our journey looking for someone to fix a few things around the house, because we'd had such a bad run of luck with contractors and handy people. He did such a wonderful job that when it came time to remodel our kitchen he was the natural choice. He and Pedro did such a beautiful job on our kitchen. I had Devol Kitchen dreams, and I feel like we made them come true. There's hardly a room in the house that he hasn't worked on. In addition to giving us a beautiful kitchen, he has also built a beautiful custom desk for my husband's office, a custom enclosure for a projector screen, fixed several nearly 100 year old doors in our home that another contractor had cut down crooked, rebuilt crawl space access doors, added a crawl space access door, re-framed and replaced two doors, replaced a window in our office, and lots and lots of other small stuff. Johnny is also a dream to work with. We've had so many contractors out to our home, many focus on how hard and difficult the job will be. Not so with Johnny, it is always "no problem" or "let me think on it and we'll figure something out."

Yesenia responded professionally and timely to my photos and messages setting up an estimate on the same day. Juan and Reuben came and confirmed the reasonable online quote. What I really appreciated was their confident assurance that they could get the job done. Previous estimates told me that it was a four person job requiring 2 separate loads to the dump because of the concrete. On the day of service only Reuben came promptly and was able to do the job just a hour plus more than was originally quoted for both brothers. Reuben also cleaned the entire work area including the rest of the yard. Exceptional service- no need to look elsewhere for yard cleaning and hauling!
