We always made sure he was paid, and he did a handful of work for us as new homeowners, but now almost 2 years later we had to track him down ourselves. Update 03/24: Back to 1 star. Overall service failure. Multiple plans to meet up to get the equipment he owes us. Failed to appear for all. Gave stipulations for a refund (certified check or Venmo or Cash App). No contact since. Not expecting we will see either. The part that gets me the most is that he did a few other odd jobs for us without issue. Our kindness and our patience has been taken full advantage of.

As of August 18 they had not finished and had not refunded my money for the materials I had paid for the unfinished portion. After numerous phone calls and texts trying to get the job done or a refund, I hired another contractor to complete the job. The second contractor found very poor construction that needed to be fixed before they could complete the job. I do not recommend Dast Construction.

The woman they sent out for my estimate told me a bathroom remodel wouldn't be a good use of my money, quoted $40k for a 5x8 bathroom with no floor plan change, and then asked if I work- presumably because my scheduled estimate was mid-day on a Monday. Or maybe because I don't live in a wealthy, all white, neighborhood. All 4 other estimates I got from other contractors quoted under $20k. I've never been more disgusted by a company in my whole life.
