I have purchased some of my favorite wines at this shop, they always have an excellent selection…read moreand reasonable prices. I've suggested it to many friends as the best place in Logan Square to get natural wines. Typically the people who work here are very helpful. There was a guy who no longer seems to be around who was especially welcoming and knowledgeable in the past. My most recent visit was astounding, in a bad way. I was "helped" by an extremely condescending and belittling woman while trying to buy 8-10 bottles of wine for a large family dinner. Perhaps it's easy to forget that some people don't know everything about wine when you're surrounded by it all day, I'm not sure how else anybody could justify acting the way she did. Every question I asked was met with a response that almost seemed mocking. I could barely believe the way she was speaking to me until my partner commented how incredibly unkind she seemed. I'm leaving two stars because the wines are really good, and I've never encountered this person before, so perhaps it was a fluke. But I'll never shop here again, because I won't be able to forgot how awful she made me feel. And not only that, but because I had suggested the shop to others. I just hope none of them have to deal with the wrath of this abusive natural wine step mom. I go out of my way to shop at speciality curated stores, especially when they're good at what they do and I'm made to feel welcome. And how good they are would almost deserve another star, but employing a bully like her in 2021 is disappointing. I almost feel melodramatic because of how let down I feel. Sad I guess, but I'm sure I'll find a place with similar wines nearby.

I think most of its foot traffic during the week comes from coffee sales - you can buy a small cup of cinnamon brewed coffee for less than a dollar (it may have gone up in recent times) - which is convenient because it's right by the metra electric stop. So why on Earth would I rate this place so high? Friends, this is the very location of the best tamales rojos EVAR. This is the golden standard against which I rate all other tamales. For you uninformed lot, tamales rojos - or "red tamales" are a slightly spicy pork in a red sauce wrapped in corn dough and fried in what I believe must be lard because the darn things are just too good not to be very fattening. This place has the best meat to masa ratio I've ever had, just slightly more masa than meat, but not so much that the spice is all hidden. I don't like tamales verdes (green ones) in general, so I can't speak to the ones here. My stepmom says they suck. But the rojos are gold, solid gold.

The dinner menu consisted of venison, baked potatoes, asparagus and dinner rolls. I served this smooth wine before dinner and with dinner. This wine really complimented the venison. All of my guests truly enjoyed their dinner and they could not stop complimenting the wine. I swear 80% of our dinner conversation was on the wine! You can definitely tell that this is a higher class wine. The deep color to the red fruits and hint of toasted oak along with the flavorful spices make for a succulent flavor. It is priced fantastic. Every guest wanted to know "where" I bought this wine as they want to order it, too. I did recommend the website as next time I will be going to someone else's house for a dinner party and I'm hoping they will serve this wine.

Amaro lovers should definitely pick up Amaro Meletti, and cognac/whiskey lovers should grab Mesh & Bone's Arakku liquor from Sri Lanka. They also had a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape from Avril for a mere $26. Cigars are for sale, as well, but I did not investigate closely on my first visit. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and show them some love.

The staff is very sweet. We all sat on the floor and took in the vibes while the performers showcased their talents. They had such a wide selection of wines and beers and liquors and we were all able to drink them inside with cups and just relax in the space.
