Talk about living up to its name! Hermosa Salon will absolutely make you feel gorgeous! This classy little salon is tucked away in The Shops at Veranda off of 150th and Western in Edmond. They did a great job with my cut and color and I was blown away by their customer service. Throughout my appointment, the manager checked on me to see how I was doing. I could tell they really care about making you feel special and taken care of. The pricing is a little high but they also used higher quality hair products than other salons I've been to. I decided to book an appointment at Hermosa Salon because they have so many great reviews- and now I'm adding to them! I booked with Julia because I saw her name over and over in reviews and I'm so glad I did! Sarah, who runs the front desk and handles scheduling, reached out to confirm my appointment and was very sweet and helpful. I've never been the kind of woman who loves going to get my hair done, frankly it's always been kind of a necessary evil, but my experience here definitely made me change my mind! The salon itself is gorgeous; classic elegance with an upscale feel. As soon as I walked in Julia introduced herself and was warm and friendly, which immediately put me at ease. She offered me a drink, and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair (other than a trim I really didn't have anything specific in mind), I told her to do whatever she thought would look good. After asking about my styling habits and feeling the texture/wave pattern of my hair, she said she'd like to do long layers and some face framing pieces and after I agreed she took me over to the sinks to wash my hair. Holy relaxation, the head massage was incredible! Julia didn't make me feel like I had to make awkward small talk, which was so great, she just let me relax in silence while she worked. Once I was in her chair Julia talked me through what she was going to do in more detail and made sure I was still on board with the 'long layers and face framing' plan (I was). We chatted while she worked on my hair, and I'm so thankful it wasn't the dreaded "omg why can't I think of anything to say, this is so awkward" type of haircut (we've all been there at least once, right?). I was definitely expecting to pay more and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was; $50 for shampoo, conditioning, head massage, cut, and styling. Some people say that the true test of a good haircut is if it still looks good the next day after you've washed it and styled it at home. Well, mine looks great! Heather - Best hairdresser in Oklahoma!!! I never thought I would find her but I did. I recently moved to Oklahoma from out of state. I went to the same hairdresser for 13 years and loved her. I never knew it would be such a challenge finding a new one (it is like finding a new best friend). I salon hopped for 2 years, leaving so unhappy. I have a shorter style A-line cut and after 8 salons I found Heather at Hermosa. Not only did she know EXACTLY how to cut my hair I do feel like I found a new best friend. I have dark brown-black thick hair and because being a brunette is not as common, I barely have seen hairstylists in OK that actually knows what they are doing with my hair without damaging it. She briefly explained that she has 10 years of experience and it was interesting to me that she won an award when she was at school. So I booked an appointment with her. And OMG! My judgment was right. She is just wonderful and super professional! I did Brazilian Blowout (my first time) and a haircut this past weekend. In each and every step she made sure she knows what I want and that I also understand what she is doing next. She is an absolute perfectionist and passionate about what she is doing. Very responsive to your needs. I was able to get an appt very quickly and I noticed that other clients appeared to be very pleased and happy with their experience as well. i have been coming to hermosa salon for over a year now and every time i've came to get my hair done i've always felt so welcomed. Everyone is extremely nice, but i go to shelby, she's an amazing hairdresser and even nicer person. she has always given me what i've asked for and more. i recently started using the hand tie extensions and i absolutely love them, before i was using the tape ins and just wanted to try something different. shelby had only done the tape ins, yet when i asked her about the hand ties she was more than happy to learn and do them for me, i just love coming here every time because she is always happy and excited to see me or any of her other clients!!! read more

I LOVED my experience here. Shelby was able to get to get me at 7 by appointment so we were the only ones there apart from the owner for the majority of the time. That made the experience nicer as it wasn't hectic and I truly felt pampered. I was given a glass of chilled wine and they had a few different types to choose from. I got a DevaCut and Shelby did an amazing job. She really took the time to style my hair and show me how to use the different products. She was extremely knowledgeable about hair and curly hair in particular. She took the time to listen to my current hair problems and then offered advice on how to fix them. My hair has never looked this amazing and I am so happy to finally be on my natural curly hair journey. She didn't just style my hair and leave me on my own either. My daughter has naturally curly hair which can, at times, get super tangled. It was recently so bad that I gave up the battle and just told her we'd go somewhere and have it cut and styled. This salon had recently opened up by my home/work so I called and made an appointment. They were amazing! Tyler spent about 45 mins combing through all the tangles. She was super friendly and the owner also came out and gave ideas on ways we could cut it to help with the constant tangled nests she gets. (It can be brutal :) ). They were so helpful and even recommended a product they didn't carry in the salon which was nice because usually stylists try to sell you every single product they use. They truly seemed to want to help her, took their time and asked lots of questions to make sure we were all on he same page.
