My local courier has decided that the wheelie bin near my front door is a safe place for packages. They used to leave parcels on the front door step, in view of the street so I'm guessing that after my innumerable complaints about this they have decided that the bin is better (never mind the amount of rubbish in there waiting to be collected) Trying to get hold of anyone at EVRI is now impossible as they have removed the email option in favour of a computer algorithm that can only provide the standard answer "your parcel was delivered" But, hey! they're cheaper than Royal Mail so great for the senders! read more

Still waiting for two parcels that were checked into Hermes/Evri's system 12 days ago. Downloaded the App and the tracking info has shown out for delivery for 10 days now. Have also used the customer services chat bot vie the App to request an email or phone call from them to find out where my goods are but no one has called/emailed. Suppliers... Now Evri. Fail to take any notice of delivery instruction. Do not want to pick up a parcel so drop the delivery and bolt without a knock or ring of the doorbell and I just was not quick enough to get to the door. Terrible company! Stated that they had posted my order through the letter box. which was completely untrue as the package was a bulky speedometer. Tried to contact company via automated service which only responded to set questions with no deviation - got nowhere. Called Hermes call number which was just automated number, gave them my tracking number and they told me it had been delivered. I knew that they had already stated that it was delivered, but I had not received it - there was no way for me to have any further input about it. I called a customer complaint number and it was the same automated call which asked me the same questions. There seemed to be no way to actually talk to a person to have a conversation regarding any complaint - what sort of company does that? The answer is a company who does not care about customers, and is just happy to leave them stranded. They are unconcerned about customer complaints, indicated by the fact that you can't actually talk to anyone when an issue arises. How they manage to keep in business is shocking. Our business has recently changed to Hermes for deliveries but recently we have had an incident of an order claiming to have been delivered, when this was not the case and we have had to recompense customer to avoid being seen as unreliable and unprofessional. Second order of high value has been in transit for at least 12 days with no update - robotic customer service is completely useless and only updates as per the information on the website. If the goods are in "transit" we cannot make any claim for lost goods. Customer is now looking/ expecting, money back, quite understandably, but why should our company bear this cost ? They insult us by sending us to the website to speak to a dedicated team member which is an automated program. There no hope of speaking to a human and the complaints email doesnt even work anymore. Non-existant customer service. Sent a parcel via them for something I sold on ebay. First tracking said that they tried to deliver & business was closed - delivery address is a private flat and customer said they were in all day. Then tracking said that the parcel is bigger than expected and a specialist courier is needed to deliver it - parcel is standard size & within weight range paid for. Then tracking just doesn't update. Online chat just gives you what tracking says as does automated phone line. At no point can you speak to a human. At present trying to get them to sort it out via Resolver, but all they do is copy and paste the tracking without addressing any of the issues (eg parcel not oversized, customer disputes previous delivery attempt) and say to wait another 48 hours. Understandably customer getting fed up so will have to refund them, so will be out of pocket (and still no idea where parcel is) read more

For over a month I tried to recover my property from Hermes aka Parcelnet. I even wrote twice to the CEO Martijn de Lange with no reply. The executive office of Hermes does not care about what you, the customer, may have lost to their incompetent parcel courier system, as evinced by the emails I've received from them. After a month of emailing, here is a direct quote from correspondence received from Hermes Executive Office: "Please be advised a thorough investigation has been completed and the item was damaged and in no condition to be delivered and the parcel was destroyed." Parcels don't get 'lost', they get stolen by Hermes staff. Hermes have admitted to intentionally destroying £760 of my property and there is no way I'll recover that money. read more

I received a DVD ordered on Amazon yesterday morning. Although email confirmation stated that courier service was DPD (may initially have been as came from abroad), it appears to have been delivered in the UK by EVRI as their name appears at top of the address label. Only discovered parcel left on top of a council plastic recycling box to the left of front door yesterday at 10:10am on leaving house. Courier could either have rang door bell as I was in, or actually posted package through letter box but did not. I know with certainty it fitted as tried myself. Anyone who approached front door from street could have walked off with my parcel. Unfortunately it was impossible to actually speak to anyone at Amazon or EVRI. When eventually got through to DPD, the phone rep was in South Africa with no knowledge of my order. EVRI have a track record of this behaviour as unfortunately the Folio society also use them to deliver their books. The old fashioned Post Office may have experienced industrial action recently, but at least their staff use basic common sense when delivering items - please take note EVRI! read more
