Huge selection of beautiful rugs. Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. They took the time to flip dozens of rugs on multiple stacks to help us find the perfect rug. Went in for one, came out with two- just couldn't decide between the two! Will definitely be going back to continue replacing worn out rugs. read more

3weeks ago, I took 3 oriental rugs in for washing & cleaning, as I was signing a paper he brought to me, I asked are you going to wash & clean my rugs. he said that's what you brought them in here for. I continued to signing the paper, i asked the question, will I get a copy of this paper, he mumbled under his breath "oh my god". I did not comment. he told me I could pick them up in 3 days, but call first. I called, got a voice mail, closed will return in May. I sent my husband back to pick them up. when he returned we opened them up to see how clean they were. they had rust spots all over. didn't even appear to have been cleaned. We re-rolled them, took them back, unrolled them for him to see the. He didn't even look at them. walked away did something at the desk came back with a check, slide it in my hand, walked away. I asked if he was going to te-clean them. His comment , can't please you. Walked away did not offer to help me get them back to my car. I would give Heriz a -0 star. Very unhappy how he ruined my rugs. In another note his rugs are WAY OVER PRICED. read more

We came to Heriz from Columbia, SC because the reviews were great and after leaving with 3 beautiful rugs I understand why people rave about this place and Sean! This was our first time buying "real" rugs not from overstock or wayfair, so I was a bit intimidated when we in and I saw just how many there were to choose from. Sean was so great and took his time to not only help us find exactly what we wanted but to educate us on what we were getting. His love for what he does is so evident and he genuinely wants you to fall in love with your rug. He also made sure to go over all the cleaning recommendations, tips, etc. This will definitely not be our last time shopping with Heriz. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality vintage and antique rugs for a very reasonable price. read more

Coming out here to Georgia was quite a change from California. Having to find places to take care of things, all over again. One that I had been putting off was getting our oriental rugs cleaned. I never dreamed that I would find Sean at Heriz. He just delivered our 6X9 and it is amazing how clean it is. I will even go so far as to say that Sean did a better job than the place in California. He was so patiently helpful during our in-home selection process, even sharing secret tips to improve the appearance of other oriental rugs in our home, which worked great! Heriz is Sean, and Sean is Heriz. And Sean loves the genuine, simple partly tribal carpets of Persia, and loves almost as much sharing that excitement with anyone who comes looking for a rug. And he has a wonderful selection of them, as well as more formal patterns in all sizes and ages, so that the feeling of walking into some bazaar or village square with piles of carpets everywhere is very strong. As you overcome your shyness and see here and there something you just have to get a better look at, you notice that Sean is there, but he isn't pushing you. He's just waiting until you have to know more and start asking questions. Then slowly at first he himself gets more and more excited about what you're both looking at, the integrity of the materials, the natural dyes, the basic patterns that are in the DNA of the weavers and always "take off" as this new carpet takes its form on the loom, always with little surprises and quirks that make them unique. I had owned a very lovely but thin carpet with artificial dyes for years, loved it, really, and was looking for a place to have it really cleaned well (Heriz is the place), when I stumbled into this conversation with Sean, and ended up taking home a smaller about 5 X 7 Heriz carpet. I have a condo, and various disasters have led to my having tile floors, which are quite rich and visually nice, but very stark, and this new addition lit up one end of the room (down from my old carpet) and really changed everything. I hadn't expected to find walking on it was a new experience, but was it ever! Here was a real carpet which didn't slide or wrinkle when you walked on it, and the colors and pattern were so much more vibrant and interesting. Over the next few months my eyes and my feet were telling me to replace the old carpet with a "real one" and I finally did with another Heriz (about 11X13) which almost exactly replaced my thin rug. The result and the "visual conversation" of the two carpets from the same village is completely amazing. I grew up in a farm community which is undoubtedly smaller than Heriz itself, where there was nothing even remotely like these carpets, and I had always thought of "Persian carpets" as an affectation. Silly me. Now I have furnishings I completely enjoy that add to the comfort of the room and will last indefinitely. I can't recommend too strongly that you at least find out what is in that large store at the corner of the strip mall on Washington. But be prepared to find yourself really intrigued. read more

Heriz is a fantastic business to service (clean) and purchase Persian rugs. Sean is extremely friendly, his knowledge of rugs is beyond words. We walked into his location with a cellphone picture of our rug in need of cleaning, he immediately knew where the rug came from and all the intricate details. I was extremely happy we found Sean/Heriz in Augusta, GA not only for the cleaning but the wide variety of rugs. Of course we found multiple rugs we would love for our home, in the end we purchased rugs from Sean, pricing is also beyond words. Heriz is going out of business ... maybe ... who knows. The "incredible rug auction" that was advertised on social media and in newspapers was a disaster, overseen by a couple of shabbily tuxedo'd auctioneers and ultimately terminated by the pouty owner Sean who essentially threw us all out when not enough people showed up on a Friday night in the rain to ensure a successful sale. I felt truly sorry for the rug-flipping crew and the auctioneers, but the behavior and rude remarks from the owner were out of line. read more
