My mother has been living there for almost two years, and I have been continually impressed by how kind, helpful, and supportive the staff has been. There is always someone available to answer questions or provide immediate support to the residents. Everyone - from the administrator's office and nursing staff to maintenance and the IT department - has been kind and supportive, whether my mom is asking for assistance or I'm calling with questions. I have always felt that my questions are taken seriously and that someone is willing to take the time to make sure we have what we need. The care my mother receives has also been very reassuring. The nursing staff has been wonderful, and whenever I have questions about her care, medications, or something the doctor needs to address, I know there is someone I can reach out to. Even when the person I need isn't immediately available, someone has always returned my call - usually within an hour or so. That kind of responsiveness means a great deal when you're caring for a parent from a distance. With so many residents requiring different levels of care and support, I am continually amazed at how smoothly everything seems to flow. There is a sense that the people working there genuinely care about the residents and take pride in what they do. Choosing a senior living community for a parent is a big decision, and it can come with a lot of uncertainty. Knowing that my mother is in a place where she is cared for, supported, and treated with kindness has given our family tremendous peace of mind. As he had dementia, it was harder for him, but the staff made him feel welcome. They are a MEMORY care facility, so they cater to the dementia patient's unique needs. The director, assistant director and everyone helping my dad were just phenomenal! The building is small (I got a tour before corona), so it felt more intimate, like he was with his family. I wish we could have experienced the facility without this mess, but I am thankful they took such good care of him!

Great Care, Great People, Very good facility - wish they took Medicaid…read more My father, through the last 6 years of his life, had to be in assisted living/skilled facility. We only were at 5 places, but this was one of the two places he felt like he could call home. The people, from the administration, to the caregivers, to the skilled nurses treated him with respect, and care. Despite his decline while there in ability, due to MS, they rarely made him feel like a burden (except when occasionally dealing with turnover). Dad truly felt seen there and cared for... which was wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about he caregivers and the administration other than that they made the experience more affordable (charging 5k a month less than others!). They gave him dignity, in a time in his life where it was in short supply. This facility was the best facility for him, that he had ever had. Sadly, when he was out of money, like many he had to go onto Medicaid. They do not take medicaid, so we had to move on. However his care here was exceptional. This would be a 5 star review, except for their care the last 4 months that my mother for, who was staying with him, and the new nurse they hired said that she also needed to be charged for care and not rent, despite them charging 7,500 a month already. Unfortunately, Mom did have some issues, but after seeing a doctor for them, is doing better. Lesson learned tho, if you're going to stay with your spouse and live with them in the facility and pay rent - you better leave the facility a lot and take care of yourself well as to not be labeled a patient. I have to only deduct one star here though because, overall some of the best memories of the last years of my father's exceptional life, were here. Thank you.

The warmth you feel from the decor and the people is tangible. I was also surprised at how great the food is and the variety of menu choices available to the residents at every meal. The Director, Nan Gammill, puts her personal touch on everything and caring for and being kind to the people there seems to be her mission in life. There was a kindness and compassion from the staff to the residents that set it apart from other assisted living communities I have visited. The activities that are available, the theater, the billiards, the quiet areas with water features. I am not ready for assisted living but I wanted to sign up to be honest.

My primary reluctantly complied and I was referred to Dr Lavery after seeing Dr Kelly. She sent me to Darla Schwab at Aultman North. After my first visit I was not feeling like things would go well. She did her assessment, did some therapy that really helped, but then said, "do these stretches and exercises and I'll see you in a month". A month!? After a few days my 20 year plus symptoms that three major hospitals had given up on after years of treatment at each started to subside. She is so busy that you will need to wait. and, take what she says seriously because she really does know her field like few others. I've always been happy with Aultman Dover therapy site, but if you have pelvic floor symptoms, male or female, it's worth the wait to finally be able to have something near a normal life. After a year I'm down to only seeing her for flare ups. And, now, since she is a PTD, she offers dry needling to help as well. Amen, a long time prayer has been answered.

The patient received supreme care from the aides and nurses . Often the activity coordinator would check in on her and offer to take her to the activities room . She even took her time to hunt down chapstick for my patient . Not only is it a beautiful clean building , the workers are all willing to help and make sure the patients needs are met .
