My 14 y/o dog went there for senior dog check-up. We wanted to get a prescription renewed which required the dog be seen. Dr. Jones was seeing her; a new vet to us. We were told dog needed rabies vax. We didn't think so but they said they checked their records and it was needed so they gave her the vax. The vet listened to dog's heart, spoke about ways to deal with elderly dog issues and then left. We got a written prescription at the front desk and discovered the vet only gave dog 2 refills. I asked why and was told it's vet's discretion as to number of refills. (Previous vet gave 6 months of refill.) As this office charges $10 per written script (they will not speak w outside pharmacies by phone) I could see reasoning is most definitely monetary - less refills, more scripts at $10 a pop! When we got home I checked my dog's records and found that she did not need rabies vax yet - a certificate given to us by same vet office showed dog's vax was good til 2027! When I raised this issue to them, they brushed it off as maybe a new computer glitch. No apology, no concern about our dog and no refund offered. This entire outing cost $158.00! Imagine! My recommendation is steer clear! ***update*** - to be fair, a "site leader" from vet center did reach out 2 days later to offer a refund for vax. He also indicated that we should call about refills and perhaps they would be granted and we wouldn't have to bring our dog in to see vet. I've had good care for the last couple of years until recently, they gave my Chihuahua the wrong medication and then just told me to use it anyway because they didn't want to give a refund. They did finally agree to give me a refund, but they also missed vaccinations for my other Chihuahua that I had been bringing in regularly for Care. When I asked Dr. Gillette why or how they missed those vaccinations she said she didn't know. Their prices have gone sky high as with every corporate entity. You know this country is capitalistic everything's about making as much money on whatever you can use to make money. I think it's time for me to look around for someone that will give better care and not charge me a mortgage payment to see my dog. read more

I have used heritage for years but recently it has become a corporate owned vetinary clinic. Prices are outrageous compared to nearby clinics. Care is fine but no Saturday hours is tough also. read more

Capitalism at its best. In 2021 I started a non-profit animal rescue in the area and from the beginning have used Heritage and New Berlin for my cats and dogs as well as for a rooster. Dr. Bill, Dr. Luke and Dr. Linda were the vets treating my animals with great knowledge. Dr. Gilette has also seen a couple of my animals. Over the course of close to 2 years I have taken about a dozen dogs there as well as countless cats, a rooster, donkey and horse, paid all my dues, paid emergency visit fees and literally spent thousands of Dollars with their network. Recently I asked them to fill out a form for Petfinder (stating how many of my animals they have seen within the past 6 months, which was 10) so that I can advertise my adoptable animals with Petfinder, and they refused to fill out the form, "they don't feel comfortable" signing the form because "they (Heritage) hadn't re-done all the regular vaccines on all my animals". That Petfinder form does not ask about vaccinations or details, it literally only asks how many animals were seen within the past 6 months (which is 10 of which all of these had gotten their vaccinations at those appointments). As a rescue I cannot afford paying a $60plus vet visit fee plus the vaccination fee for every animal every year, that would bankrupt any rescue within less than a year but there are other low to no cost options where I can take my animals to for vaccinations. I take my animals to the vet for the initial intake exam and vaccines as well as for medical treatment. Heritage's refusal of signing the Petfinder form is basically saying, 'yes, we are more than happy to take your money, the more the better, but that doesn't mean we'll sign a form that we have actually seen your animals'. At least not if I am unwilling to pay $100plus for a rabies vaccine with them once a year for every animal. They are indeed more than comfortable asking $200 emergency visit fee for a 4 week old one eyed kitten that got dropped off at my rescue and was in desperate need of a vet, which is only one example of their crazy fees. This clinic is not about compassion or even reason, it's all about the money, good old capitalism, and then some more. Shame on them. Needless to say I will no longer use or recommend them read more

My husband and I adopted numerous feral cats over the years and have taken them to the Heritage Veterinary Clinic for spading, neutering, vaccines, and a variety of health issues. We have received only the most compassionate, helpful service, without exception, for 15 years. I most recently had to have our eldest girl put down (she was 19, an accomplishment due in part to the Heritage Veterinary staff care, partly her own ridiculously enriched life experience at our house, and partly sheer stubbornness and insistent joie de vivre). My husband had very recently died when I took our old girl into the clinic, and I was therefore in an unusually fragile condition myself, and the staff was indescribably kind both to our old girl and to me. I recommend them most enthusiastically and gratefully. read more

This is an amazing vet practice. I switched from Community Vet. I am so glad I did. The staff and vets take the time to get to know you and your animal. You feel like they truly care. I wish Dr. Fassett was still there. He was amazing. Now however, under new management, staff will aggressively try to upsell EVERYTHING. If you buy medications, flea/tick prevention and animal shampoo there, they're 3-4 times more expensive than if you get them online - and they will try to talk you out of buying them online, even if it's the same exact name brand stuff. They'll insist on unnecessary tests. All of my dogs have had very expensive surgeries, 2 prior to the new management, and 1 under the new management. Only under the new management, I was told no payment plans even though I've never been late on any payments made in the past (under the old management), and have always paid my bills. I understand it being a business and needing to get paid, but I've been going there for 14 years and have never not paid them. Staff can be short and rude on the phone as well. Twice one of my dogs expressed her anal glands on the table because she was nervous, and they tried to put an anal gland expression charge on my bill. I feel as though they're looking to get as much $$ out of customers as possible, and my pets' care is secondary. I have since changed vets, which is a shame, because as I've mentioned, I've been taking all of my animals there for many years. read more
