Ended up talking me into putting $20 down on a down payment for the drawing which would then be deducted from the total cost of the tattoo. I ended up getting it done elsewhere for a better price, with a better atmosphere. Went back to get my $20 back, seeing as they had yet to do anything besides write my name down in their schedule book, and they refused, and tried to shrug it off, and shift blame amongst themselves. Don't go to Sinister. Just horrible service.

Both of my friends have minor screw ups that you would only know if you knew the original word design, however, mine is completely unreadable. When you look at the tattoo right side up is is supposed to say "Sisters" and when you look at it upside down it says "Friends". You can read the "Friends", but when you look at it right side up it looks like it says "Spters". The "i" and "s" are connected and shouldn't be and the two S's are supposed to be swirled and are not. Owner gave me half of my money back and offered to fix it with peroxide once tattoo is healed, but I've talked to other tattoo joints in the Detroit area that said they have never heard of using peroxide. To me that doesn't sound safe. ON THE OTHER HAND, I have heard good things about Sinister Productions from family members that have gone there multiple times and from another tattoo place in Mt. Pleasant that said Jim does an amazing job. If you do decide to go there, I do NOT recommend Peyton!! Cool guy, but did a HORRIBLE artist.

My mom and I had wanted matching tattoos for almost 10 years. When a funeral brought me from out of…read morestate back home, I told her that we should get one. We stopped at one place on a Saturday and the guy said the soonest he could get me in was Thursday. I was leaving that Monday. We decided to stop here and the lady told us it could be 1.5 to 2 hour wait. Perfectly fine with us. We ended up getting Jonathan to do our tattoos. Unknowingly to us he is the owner. Best experience ever!!! He was very professional and precise with what we wanted. He even sang while he was tattooing us and it made the pain less. I highly recommend him and am thinking about what yo get the next time I travel home.

Botched Septum Piercing -- DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE…read more The piercer assured me she was able to do septum piercings and she was confident in the placement of my piercing. When the piercing was happening, it took her a long time to get the needle through, and it hurt more than it should have, but because it was my first time getting a facial piercing I didn't know what to expect. A week later, I came in a second time because the piercing was too tight and it was creating indents in my nose, and she widened the piercing for me. At that time she didn't note that anything was wrong with my piercing, but she did encourage me to manually move it into the proper downward position because mine was stuck sticking straight out. I tried moving it into the position as directed but it wouldn't stay. Initially, I thought it was an anatomy thing, but after looking up similar cases online, I began to worry it was pierced improperly. I sought a second opinion from a more experienced piercer and she confirmed that Serenity had pierced my nose not through the sweet spot, but instead through the hard cartilage. Now I have to wait for my septum to heal fully before I can get it repierced properly. Two stars instead of one because they did give me a full refund and Serenity seems like a genuinely kind person, but I don't believe she should be doing any piercings until she does another apprenticeship.

I had a terrible experience at this tattoo shop, and I regret ever setting foot in there. First of…read moreall, the artist who worked on my tattoo has left the company due to "ethical issues." I found out about this only after receiving a subpar tattoo that I am now stuck with. The tattoo itself is a complete disaster. The lines are uneven, the colors are all wrong, and it looks nothing like what I had in mind. It's evident that the so-called "artist" lacked the skill and expertise needed to create a quality tattoo. I'm not sure if Nate was the only one with such issues or if it's indicative of the overall lack of talent at this shop. Furthermore, the customer service is appalling. When I reached out to the shop to express my dissatisfaction and request a refund, they coldly informed me that they don't issue refunds as part of their policy. It's absurd that they won't take responsibility for their own artist's incompetence and instead put the burden on the customer. It's clear that this shop prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction and quality work. I strongly advise anyone considering getting a tattoo here to think twice and find a more reputable and skilled establishment. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment that I had to endure. Overall, I would give this place zero stars if I could. I will never return, and I hope others heed this warning and avoid this place at all costs. Photo reference: What I wanted, tattoo like the completed color tattoo with peonies instead of sunflowers. What I got is a tattoo that looks 10 years old, scaring, scratching an asymmetrical butterfly missing an antenna and an overall mess. I was going to go back for a second session to get the coloring done, but no way. Had to go to another tattoo shop and they think I need some laser sessions before I can get this fixed. They were appalled with the quality of work.
