My first encounter was with a nasty woman who was screaming obscenities at her semi-ferocious dog. She leashed up her dog as it was lunging and snarling viciously at my sweet friendly pup. Thanks fully, she dragged her dog out of the park (or maybe the dog dragged her out?). Either way, was relieved to see them both leave. The only other person there was a grumpy curmudgeon who let his dogs poop all over without picking it up...since when is that acceptable? The park itself is nice but the people are not!

I found Rose Mofford via a quick search for dog parks near me. We arrived around 7am and there were a good number of people there. Everyone was nice, and seemed to be regulars. We went to the small dog side even though my pug thinks he's a big viscous dog lol. The area was big and has grass and trees. There is also a doggy watering station. I understand all the comments about big dogs in small areas. My dog doesn't care. I was going to take him in the big dog area but I didn't want people to get mad. I guess maybe there should be better rules posted. Also they should make an area to mix small and big dogs if people have one of each or simply don't care. Anyway, I was happy to find a nice spot to bring my dog. Also looks like outside the dog area there may be paths to walk dogs who are on leash so I might check that out too soon!

The worst issue is that there is a dog park at this location but some people seem to think that the whole park is open to their dogs and you have dogs running around off leash OUTSIDE the dog park. Keep your dog on leash until you are inside the closed off dog park. Also been here twice and witnessed 2 dog fights. If you can't control your dog please don't bring them to a dog park so they can attack others! On the flip side my father told me recently that he brought his puppy here and some lady was flipping out because she felt like the puppy was being too rough with her dogs. Please know the difference between dogs playing and dog fighting or get out if things get too ruff for your liking. I usually walk around the human park until a side at the dog park becomes empty so that my dog can run around. There are 4 separate fields but only 2 are open at a time, they rotate the fields to keep them nice. One side is for small dogs and the other is for big dogs. If you ignore the above nuisances the dog park is actually nice. If you bring your small kids please watch out for idiotic people strolling to the dog park with their dogs off leash.

This is not the closest place for me to go but it's by far the best. 3 large fenced in dog park areas, many types of friendly and fun pooches will be there for your fur babies to play with. It's fun for me to see all the different types of breeds that come here. Most of the pups are well behaved. I've seen a couple times some negligent owners on their phones so spaced out, don't pick up their dogs poop or watch what their dogs are doing, but as far as dog parks go- it's the best for not having to stress that something negative will happen. I've been to other dog parks in the area that just had bad vibes. This one is nice and happy. It's as clean as a dog park can be, they do regular maintenance to the grounds, and there is a huge parking lot. It's also nice to walk the dogs in that area as well. My boys love it here and I'm happy to take them. Important to note- check the hours on certain days since they do the maintenance and close the parks. I've shown up a couple times forgetting about this and it was closed, so we just went for a nice walk instead.

My dog was attacked by 3 dogs this morning that were 3x her size while all of the owners did nothing but watch. They were more concerned about what they had for breakfast rather than helping me get their dogs off of Nala. Both the lady and the other man's dog grabbed my dog by her sweater and then her collar and drug her across the field. My poor dog was pinned to the ground and both of the owners had the audacity to scream and cuss at me when I grabbed their dogs off of mine and then pushed one of the dogs away when I picked my dog up. And not once did anyone even say sorry. In fact the lady that owned 2 of the dogs told me I need to go on the other side of the dog park. Maybe you shouldn't bring your ill mannered dogs to a public place. This use to be a really good dog park with respectful and responsible owners. But it's not anymore. For the sake of your dogs safety please find another dog park.
