He gave me both health care and financial power of attorney. He asked me to go ahead and take care the final arrangements using his bank account, which I did. Nearly 6 weeks later, the rude obnoxious KELLY from Ruffner-Wakelin calls me and starts giving me a song and dance about the payment. Now I have no issue with paying, but they were already paid. She says they just tried to process the check and it bounced because the bank accounts were frozen. Well no kidding I told her, he died a month ago and you guys knew I was paying with his account, why did you not process it a month ago? Rude obnoxious KELLY said it was my fault, I signed a contract and she was just going to send it to collection. She blamed it all on me, accepted no responsibility and threatened me with sending it to collection. They are all peaches and cream when they are trying to sell you something, but god forbid they screw up and not get paid and they threaten you with collection. Just so you all know, rude obnoxious KELLY called me 0918 and I went in and paid them at 1130, so they did in fact get paid within hours of me finding out there was an issue. My advise, go somewhere else. Anywhere but there. It as very disappointing especially for my mom and being the holiday season!! Thank goodness for Arthur!! He picked up ball and then some!! He was so very kind and thoughtful!! Incompetent business practices and staff, stay away from Affordable Burial and Cremations!!!…read moreWhen we had my step dad Ron cremated in 2024, we met with the woman at ABC who reviewed and set up the cremation, Cyndi. At one point she asked if we would like to view the body and I said yes, I wanted to see Ron and verify he was there. Then she recommended against it because they had a badly decomposed body come in the day before and she said the odor would be too overwhelming. Instead Cyndi offered to call us (the day before) and have my mom and I come back and be present for the cremation. She said it was a common practice that they did for family members and pointed out where we could sit just outside the crematorium. We decided that would be okay, I could have closure just before the cremation by saying goodbye to Ron, saying a prayer and sharing memories of my step dad (who became my closest friend after he married my mom). The thought of being there and being able to see my step dad and best friend one last time was truly comforting. She told us that the queue for cremations was about 3 to 4 weeks until they would get to Ron. We signed paperwork, wrote ABC a check, and made sure that Cyndi had our contact information. After a couple weeks went by, we called to inquire about the cremation "queue". A woman (employee) at ABC told us Ron had already been cremated!!! Nobody bothered to call us the day before the cremation, and they never called after he was cremated either. The woman who spoke to my mom said, "Well, it's a one time deal...it's not like we can do it again". My mom said, "No [kidding]!!". My mom and I were shocked, angry, and heartbroken all at the same time. How could Cyndi promise to have us be present for such a momentous event and then fail to call us? The woman said there was a miscommunication between employees and the phone call was "overlooked". They never offered any kind of compensation or an apology to me. The people at ABC are incompetent and shouldn't be operating a service as serious and consequential as caring for your (departed) loved one.

We were physically tired, emotionally, exhausted, and overwhelmed then walks up my Naomi. Wow, she truly was truly sent from God. Not only was she spoken, kind make sure that she took extra care with my father and let us know. She explained things to us and then we had him cremated at her facility, which they do on site, which is really nice. they let us push my father through to be cremated. We were able to say goodbye cannot say enough for this crematory they went above and beyond every single person that worked there from her daughter to son-in-law to workers, I cannot highly recommend this business enough.
