He gave me both health care and financial power of attorney. He asked me to go ahead and take care the final arrangements using his bank account, which I did. Nearly 6 weeks later, the rude obnoxious KELLY from Ruffner-Wakelin calls me and starts giving me a song and dance about the payment. Now I have no issue with paying, but they were already paid. She says they just tried to process the check and it bounced because the bank accounts were frozen. Well no kidding I told her, he died a month ago and you guys knew I was paying with his account, why did you not process it a month ago? Rude obnoxious KELLY said it was my fault, I signed a contract and she was just going to send it to collection. She blamed it all on me, accepted no responsibility and threatened me with sending it to collection. They are all peaches and cream when they are trying to sell you something, but god forbid they screw up and not get paid and they threaten you with collection. Just so you all know, rude obnoxious KELLY called me 0918 and I went in and paid them at 1130, so they did in fact get paid within hours of me finding out there was an issue. My advise, go somewhere else. Anywhere but there. Hospice explained that they use a funeral home of the month for people who don't have one chosen. So I honestly thought that this was something that HELPED families... Boy was I WRONG. Since my brother was a Widower, and he had nothing that was worth anything, I followed his last wishes and wanted him Cremated. That was $1500. that had to be paid before they would even cremate his body. I explained that I live on SSD and I didn't have the money at hand, but since I owned my home, I had to pay it because he wasn't considered an indigent, because his family members own homes in AZ. I couldn't get any help from anyone so it took a little longer to pay. I had yard sales, wanted to sell on of my cars just so I could get his ashes and complete his last wishes. I completed paying on Feb 1, 2019 but was't given his ashes for another 3 weeks. I had called several times to ensure that his remains were Cremated, and Ron told me that he needed to make an appointment for the Cremation. We had completed the paperwork back on Feb 1,2019, and I was told he would call me when the Certificate was in his hands. He was to order a death certificate for me, but he never did. Today I called and he told me I never wanted a Death Certificate so he never ordered it. Just another LIE from him and it's been over 3 months now. Now I have to drive to Kingman, an hour away, to get his death certificate. I cannot express my total frustration with Arizona Affordable Funeral Home and Crematorium. They have let the ball drop on so many things that I honestly feel they should be OUT OF BUSINESS because they have NO Business ethics at all. Their so called Mission isn't what they claim and I feel I have been PUT THROUGH HELL because I didn't have the money all at once. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I will NEVER recommend anyone to go through what I did. They should be ashamed of themselves for the discrimination that I feel everyday because I live on a fixed income. If this is how they treat those who have just lost a family member, how can they live with themselves???
