Lovely cafe run by even lovelier people. A little on the unprepared side and unsure of their menu/hours but for me that added an innocence to the older generation that was staffed. Chatting happily amongst themselves, asking each other questions like if the fryer was on (we ordered fish and chips right on start of lunch) and checking ingredients on my wrap. "It has cranberry. Does she eat cranberry?" They were so sweet and offered an old fashioned hospitality that is sadly lacking these days.
I cannot fault the meals. My wrap was fresh (chicken, brie and cranberry), my partners fish and chips hot and crisp with a nicely dressed side salad. My only gripe (as we found out must be a locality thing) is the lack of coke. We were offered an organic cola instead which wasn't exactly to my taste but fine for something different. read more
