After a 5 month hospitalization, I spent a few…read morehorrifying weeks at CareOne before being sent back to the hospital because I pulled out a catheter in my chest, due to being in a delirium from a high fever. I spent 3 more months in the hospital after leaving CareOne! There is little to no medical staff available except for 1 nurse who hands out medication to too many patients. Physical Therapy was supposed to be 5 to 6 times per week, but they couldn't get me on the schedule more then 2 times a week. I don't know what to say about the aides. They sat in the hall on their cell phones more then attending to patients. They wouldn't help me walk to the bathroom or give me a bedside commode. It was easier for them to put me in a diaper. What was even worse then being in a diaper, was that the aides only came around to change patients after meals. They didn't care if that meant leaving us in a dirty diaper for hours. This place should be shut down by the state. I was there for the Physical Therapy, many others are there for other reasons and are unable to advocate for themselves. I would give them 0 stars if possible.

Its care wing is designed for our possible long term needs, not for someone looking for a nursing home immediately. (Its LTC wing is so highly rated, it shows up on searches for people not able to be admitted from outside the LH community. Such people are disappointed and leave misguided reviews.) The actual life here is wonderful: such as choices of food, activities, and the many new friends whom we then get to know much better than when living on a normal suburban block of single family homes. We could write so much more, and it is all good, but I want to get back to enjoying it now.

She is healthier & happier now that when she struggled to live alone @ home. She has a beautiful sunny studio that we helped decorate together. She has made new friends here. BrightView Warren IS a beautiful place to live! It's like a resort. The food is excellent, I've eaten there many times. The meals are 3x a day, INCLUDED, as well as health checks, nursing facility, exercise rooms, beauty salon, a pub with outside entertainment and free drinks & snacks. You won't see that anywhere else - I know - I looked! The faculty & staff are truly caring and we have open communication on every issue. When I go to visit my mom, I am also visiting friends on staff & interacting with the other residents who live there. I feel that my mom is truly safe and well cared for. The staff are committed to this program & are very responsive & eager to please. Whispering Knoll doesn't have that "smell" that other assisted livings have, and you don't have residents screaming out for help here. The food is pretty good (I've tried it many times) and there's many options. Hanh, the nursing director, is forward thinking and always puts the residents first.
