A wonderful park in Vienna!…read more
The park is massive, and I know there is a wide path that runs through the park, and is just over 4km long. This is the only place where I have been, well, that and the amusement park.
I know that there are plenty of wide open green spaces to picnic, sunbathe, or whatever else people do in wide open green spaces.
Pretty much there is something for everyone. There is a playground, a skate park, a bowling alley, some restaurants, a lake?, and some sports facilities, and of course benches.(which are conveniently located on the side paths - not the main "road".)
No vehicles aside from human powered, Segways, buggies, and the occasional emergency vehicle.
There is a road that runs perpendicular, but aside from a bus and occasional car, it is not very busy.
Aside from fresh manure from our horse friends, the park is kept very clean. I am thrilled that people respect it enough not to litter!
I also know there's a cute train called the Liliputbahn that runs through the park.
My only criticisms right now are that I would like there to be a city-bike station closer to the other end (there's two near the amusement park end), and a few maps along the main path.
