The gay club scene in Helsinki. Note there are two lines at the door, one to the gay bar and the other to a straight bar, so make sure you're in the right line. Seems like they manufacture a line by holding people even though there's plenty of room inside. Security people at the door were rude. Checkin process is a mess - you have to pay two different admission fees, one for coat check even if you don't have a coat, and then the actual admission - ended up at like 12.50 euros. Drinks were overpriced, 11 euro for a vodka soda. Saving grace was the music, the DJ was excellent, American and European hits that were easy to dance to. Crowd seemed less gay than I was expecting, like 3/4 women, at least half of whom seemed straight, but at least a handful of cute gay guys. Not the best but not like there's a ton of choice. read more
