My girls and I roll like we're single and ready to mingle. In fact, we're a blonde-tourage of mums who have been living the teenage dream for two decades. Kaiku's a good place for that sort of thing. Located in an industrial car park, and requiring the climbing of some questionable post-bubbly stairs up to a loft-y kind of dance and drink space, this is the real deal of House Music clubs in Helsinki.
So the music is pretty good - there could be more ambient house but whatever - I came to get down, so why not sweat it out to some aggressive beats as the night goes on? There is also a second hiphop room (not sure if it's always hiphop). The bars are pretty nice for a place that serves up partiers of all varieties. If you get here at 11.30 or midnight, the crowd is jovial, friendly, you can dance with people you don't know, and you'll probably make new friends (in FINLAND! WHAT?). The later it gets, the crazier it getsI don't recommend this place for a quiet evening out. I recommend it for getting your dance card punched and dancing all night.
It is possible to stay until 4 a.m. and have a great time - nice bartenders, plenty of free water, and clean bathrooms. It's all good. Come ready to shake that thing Miss Annabella, and you'll have a blast. read more
