We went here a few years ago to fill up a propane tank. We didn't have any problems and the tank lasted quite a long time. Now we're back to refill it again. I called ahead to make sure they were open and still doing propane refills. They told me there's a minimum of 5 gallons at $4.29 per gallon, so the charge would be $21.45 plus tax. I called around to check a few other places and found one that was a little cheaper, but it was a pretty long drive. Since I was already here, I went ahead and got it filled. The service guy, Adria, who filled the tank was really nice, and so was Alvaro at the counter. My tank actually only needed 4 gallons, and Alvaro was kind enough to charge me just for the 4 gallons instead of the 5-gallon minimum. Happy customer. One helpful tip: when you arrive, don't go to the front desk first. Drive straight in to the propane station. They'll give you an invoice, and then you take that inside to pay when you're done. read more

While reading through this, I look at their yelp star rating. I can't help but think are these people just haters and miserable, possibly competing business businesses or competitors??!! I don't know, but as a contractor that does a lot of excavation and drilling there are time for I need some of the smaller pieces of equipment and I use Herc periodically when a small specialty piece of equipment is needed. I rented a trailer, when I left the place something hit the ground on the way out. So I comeback and found out ,that there are a very long bolts holding chain on the trailer. So I mentioned it to them, that I could loose the trailer if they keep hitting the ground. They refused to put shorter bolts. When I mentioned, that I will go CHP to examine that, they unhooked the trailer without returning my money. These people are very unprofessional and they don't care about safety. read more

I have rented from these guys for years. Back when many of these stores were Big 4 Rentals. The customer service at this location is fantastic. The ladies that have helped me with the counter are knowledgeable and I've been great to deal with. I have rented most recently edging Sanders and floor sander's from them. The selection of sanding pads is great too!! We had such a good experience by refinishing our own floors that we're going to be renting again this weekend to refinish my mom's floors. read more

The assistant branch manager here -- Alycia Markham -- has a very low opinion of homeowners, and it shows in how she responds to her customers. According to Alycia, eight out of ten homeowners try to chisel Hertz for refunds, and we're all "bullshitters." I asked at the counter for a recommendation for the right tool to grind down concrete, and ultimately was directed to a tool that was not nearly up to the task. A wasted morning later, I brought the tool back, and asked for a refund. I was OK paying for the $40 grinding pads, which Hertz could not resell, but I balked at paying the rental charges on the wrong tool. The guy at the counter gave me a limited refund but still wanted $50 for the rental, so I asked to speak with the manager -- and things went downhill from there. While the guy at the counter was at least nice, Alycia was rude and belligerent from the get go. Her apparent motto: the customer is always a crook. read more

Avoid! Via email, our club requested 5 vans and offered our credit card. Two days later the manager replied 4 were available and we replied OK, book it just 2 hours after that. Then they said they were GONE, they had never held them even while offering them to us. Is that the kind of business you do? Avoid! read more

These guys were super helpful. I didn't know exactly what kind of equipment I needed, so they walked me through my problem and recommended the correct size (I was renting a dehumidifier). They also helped me load and unload it, and everyone who worked there was really nice! If I ever need anything again, I'm coming here. read more

I am 0 for 3 with Hertz so far. The first time my cousin went in to rent a pipe threader for working with black pipe for natural gas. After 30 minutes of us playing with it unable to get it to work we brought it back to Hertz. They had us wait there almost 45 minutes while the proper guy was on lunch. Finally, he came back and confirmed that indeed it was broken. We have now wasted the entire morning. They gave us a upgrade to a larger machine, which was nice, but that machine did not work well. The grip kept slipping, so we set it for 1 inch pipe and after a few cuts it had worked its way to 1 1/8 inch. Which is a BIG problem for natural gas. We ended up wasting a lot of time and pipe because of this. Finally, I just rented a chainsaw from them and when I returned it there were two mysterious charges, one for a fuel can which I did not ask for and did not use, and one for a environmental compliance fee. They waved the first one, but refused to budge on this second charge, which they said they collect on all rentals (but don't tell anyone about unless they carefully inspect their receipt). (It turns out there is now a class action law suit from people who feel ripped off by this charge). To be balanced, I find the employees friendly and helpful. They will gladly answer questions if you don't know how to use the machines. Still, I will probably look for another place because 0 for 3 is not good. read more

I have never posed a review on yelp before this but I feel like it is finally time to pipe up. I had called ahead to make sure they had the tool there and I was told "yeah, we have one. It's not were it usually is, but it's here somewhere!" I go down to pick it up later that morning, they say they have it, take my payment information (flings my cards on the counter rather than hand them to me), look around for five minutes and say "We can't find it." Then the sales rep decides it's okay to joke about it like it's no big deal and says I should just go buy the tool. It wasn't even a mechanical tool! It was just a soil tamper for a yard project. WTF. Huge waste of time. Thanks for the effort. I feel bad for anyone who works under this guy. read more
