Poor Service and more. I had a service agreement…read more Comfort Zone's technician diagnosed fumes from my fireplace and he said the fireplace needed a new part. Fine, so far. Comfort Zone ordered the part and it took months to arrive -- ok, supply chain issues, I thought. Another of their technicians came but couldn't install it because he said the glass would break. Then, Comfort Zone didn't contact me at all. I had to go to their location and demand service. They sent who they called "their best technician at no cost to me". He said the perimeter was a little bent and adjusted it within a few minutes and left without checking the air quality. By this time, my fireplace had been shut down for the whole winter. This month, in preparation for this winter, I got another company in to check the fireplace and the fumes, which are a health hazard, are still there!! That's the worst part! The new company has ordered a new glass for me, which I am paying for, in full. Thank goodness for them. That was my service experience, on a service agreement.

Huge, huge thanks to Plumbing Possibilities in Peterborough! After enduring flooding when sump pump stopped during the power outage, they came to the rescue! I had a battery backup sump pump installed (yes I know a little late) so this won't happen again. It was scheduled for Friday and I was 'pickled tink' when they said they could do it Thursday. Cory arrived and in less than 2 hours, I was set up! Super, super nice guy. My well water pump also took a hit. I asked him about it, and he said the part needed replacing (it was under water). He would TRY and come back the next day (they were busy!). He showed up Friday morning just before 10. After 5 days without water, he got it fixed and good to go before noon. I had to get my hot water tank replaced, and the last thing he did was turn the water on to start filling it. Seven days without a shower, that one last night felt incredible! I am very grateful they were able to schedule me in as quickly as they did. I am a little thick when it comes to mechanical workings, and Cory was so patient explaining how the new battery backup pump works, and the workings of the well water pump. This is something my late husband would have handled, and I was terrified on how I would deal with it. The relief I felt when both jobs were done, can't be put in words. Thanks again to Matthew MacLean, for his recommendation, and Jackie at Plumbing Possibilities for fitting me in to their schedule so quickly. And Cory, for your most excellent work and patience. We had a tour of the completed project and were very impressed with the design and the expert installation. Our neighbors are "fussy" about having a job done properly so that was a good indication of Anden's commitment to quality. So, last month we decided to have our kitchen counters replaced. A visit to Anden's showroom led to installation a couple of weeks later. The two workers who installed the new counters were excellent. It was not even possible to see where they joined two pieces together. I sure wish that I could caulk like they did. There was a minor problem with re-installation of the garburator as one of the seals was damaged in the original counter removal. Getting the part in COVID times took a bit, but all is well and Anden went out of their way to help with this matter. In short, we were very pleased with the entire process and would recommend this company to anyone contemplating a reno job.

I have been impressed with both their selection of products and their knowledge of all of the products they have at their Cobourg store. They have a lot of experience in all three types of installations and were able to use examples of previous installs to explain my options. I did get one of them out to my house and they looked things over and then patiently explained my options. While I didn't make any major purchases, I felt very comfortable dealing with them and would have no concerns at all about pulling the trigger with these guys when I am ready to make a purchase. They get top rating from me for selection, knowledge, experience and their easy and patient way of explaining everything.
