I can't say enough about how wonderful Herbert Berg Florist is! When I ordered a get well bouquet online with them for my sister who was in the ICU I didn't realize that flowers weren't allowed in that part of the hospital. As soon as I realized, I phoned this florist and was told not to worry; they had already put aside my order until my sister would be moved to a regular hospital room. When I called the next day to tell them it was now OK to send the flowers, they not only told me that they had that information from calling the hospital to check, but they knew my sister's room number and were ready to send the flowers. My recommendation is to make sure that this florist explains PRECISELY what you're getting for your money when you hire them for your wedding. Don't let them get away with "oh we'll use some of this and some of this and some of this and you'll have lovely arrangements". Ask for examples, ask them to make sample centerpiece, ensure that the number of blossoms in your bouquet is spelled out specifically. I will say that for the most part the flowers were fine. Nothing special, nothing great. My bridesmaids bouquets were the prettiest of all the arrangements. My bouquet was a huge disappointment. I asked for all picasso calla lillies. I gave them a photo of what I wanted. The photo had about 36 blossoms. The bouquet they delivered had about 18. My guests and my photographer mistakenly thought that the $225.00 arrangement that was placed on the fireplace mantle was something that had been included free from the venue (that's how unremarkable it was). I didn't even notice it. So, I guess my advise would be to verify, verify, verify. I blame myself for not making sure that everything was spelled out. But when you provide a picture and the person taking the order says, "we can do that" you assume that you're getting what you've asked for. Had I known that my pieces would be about 1/2 of what I expected I likely would have spent a bit more and gone somewhere else. read more

We learned about Herbert Berg Florist from the event center The Manor in West Boylston, MA. There were on the list of recommended florists, so we visited her unassuming flower shop in a sleepy section of Worcester. We decided on "Berg" for my daughter's June 2020 wedding, and placed a $100 deposit after a nice conversation with president Sally , who shared with us an example of the flowers that she might use. Fast forward - covid (the wedding was postponed a year), and a few months ago we decided to forge ahead with a smaller group and venue at the end of July 2021. Sally honored our deposit and put it towards our new event. My daughter had created a Pinterest selection of what she was interested, and Sally assured us that she could come up with something similar for a reasonable price. We had 4 bouquets, 6 boutonnieres, and 7 centerpieces, for under $1000! Our venue was transformed with their arrival - on time - on the day of the event. Sally carefully delivered and placed them in the tables herself. All flowers were in perfect condition, and she also provided a bag of leftover rose petals to use as additional decoration. read more

Recently was referred to Herbert Berg Florist for my wedding! Sally was amazing to work with and very accommodating! We went in with a price range in mind and the flowers we wanted and she was able to make it it work! I also asked her if she could incorporate buttons from my grandmother wedding dress into my bouquet and she did! DO NOT GO HERE FOR WEDDING FLOWERS!!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! I hired them for my wedding flowers and was absolutely and completely disappointed in their service. The flowers were supposed to be delivered to my hotel at 8:30AM and didn't show up until 9:30AM, when I was supposed to be getting in my limo and leaving for the ceremony. No apology. Then, the delivery guy made me stop my pictures and explain what flowers were going where even though I had explained it a week before to the woman in charge of my flowers. He also made me give him directions to the church, which was only a town away (about 10 minutes), and it took him an hour and a half to get there, which delayed the ceremony. Again, no apology. When we got to the church, we found we were missing a bouquet, the groom's boutineer was missing, and the rest of the boutineers were already falling apart and browning. We got to the reception to find that the florist forgot to mention that instead of them bringing vases to the reception so we could use the bouquets as center pieces for the head table and bridal party tables, I was actually supposed to keep the nasty vases the delivery guy put the bouquets in to keep them alive and I was supposed to bring them in to the reception, even though I was the last one there. Apparently I was supposed to carry them in with me as I was introduced? I was told they would be there already. So we had no center pieces for three of the tables. This is just some of the major mistakes they made. Awful awful awful. So naturally I called to straighten it out after the wedding and it took about three calls and finally a trip there to get anyone to talk to me about it. Finally I talked to the owner, who tried to defend some of the mistakes, but was genuinely concerned about some as well. Mostly she just made excuses. She said she'd sit down with the woman in charge of my flowers to talk about how to make this right. I said I AT LEAST need a refund for what never showed up, and would expect more since they messed up pretty much everything, including the timing of the whole ceremony. That was two weeks ago. I've not heard anything yet despite being promised a call the next day (about two weeks ago). I called today and asked to speak with the owner again and I was told she'd call me after lunch. I called 4 hours later, after not hearing back, to find out I can't talk to her this time because she's out. I am infuriated that they screwed up so much of my wedding and won't even take the time to try to make it right. I WILL NEVER go there again or recommend them to ANYONE unless they don't mind someone screwing up something they spent a year planning. read more

The bouquets came out like we had discussed and the centerpieces were beautiful.
