Meh. Good:…read more-There are not many stores in this neighborhood that offer these kinds of products. Bad: - Small - Overpriced - Bad and limited selection of products - some products are past expiration (i do not know to what extent) I am a big consumer of health food & products with natural ingredients and minimal chemicals. Naturally I got tired of ordering online and decided to hunt for local spot. Unfortunately, I live in an area that doesn't have people who frequent places like this. I've walked into this place a couple of times. Each time I came in looking for something that health food stores generally carry and came out empty handed. For one, the place is a little dusty, I picked up a bottle off the shelf that was past the expiration date and definitely overpriced. The selection is meek and not up-to-date with any of the newer products or brands. Their personal care section is- frankly, pathetic and carries a lot of the fake natural brands, and nothing of good selection. The only thing okay about this store is that they do carry some good tea and honey (though also overpriced). They also have some essential oils, but the oils are also overpriced and the guy behind the counter tried to swindle me into buying a $30 dollar 1/2 oz bottle of peppermint oil when the $8 bottle of Aura Cacia Peppermint oil is just fine (yet still overpriced). I'm not writing this store off for good, but i am not going to re-visit until they get their act together.

They have a product called Flawless which tans you with a very natural looking tan. No orange at all. It looks just like the natural sun tanned me but without the harmful rays. It is put on the skin with a mitt (very cool, also very easy application) and everyone thinks I've been on vacation. Little do they know I never had to pass TSA security to get this dark and natural of a tan.

I'm always looking for some good tinctures, homeopathic remedies and supplements - so I was in HEAVEN when I discovered that they sell so many. I no longer have to run to the big box organic place to get my immune booster or respiratory tinctures. Yay! They sell so many different things that I don't recall but I am making a mental note to go back to get the teas and essential oils. They have an extensive selection of loose teas. Told ya, they have lots of everything :) The shop is really inviting - met Jimmy who is really nice and helpful. Explained to me their wellness concept and their product lines. I saw on their website that if you need something after hours, you can make an appointment. I think that alone is pretty fabulous. He also told me that he can help me with special orders. Can't to go back to see if they carry prunella vulgaris. I ended up picking up three votive candles - positivity, creativity and abundance. I like the smell as well as the energy and metaphor of having happy candles.

It's a big store with an extensive selection and it's not terribly overpriced, with many reasonable options, but you can suffer from sticker shock on some of the items on their shelves. I stumbled into this place looking for Chanca Piedra tea (great for kidney stones). The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I heard their interactions with other customers and they were all top-notch with a focus on understanding the people's issues so that the correct products could be recommended. I wandered through the aisles checking out their other items. Lots of organic juices. Lots of specialty items that are hard to find. They even had a freezer section that contained my favorite "healthy" snack, coconut milk ice cream sandwiches from So Delicious. Seriously, if you're lactose intolerant then you need these tasty delights in your life. I don't see shifting ALL my grocery needs to Olive May, but I will definitely pop in for their extensive organic options and those lovely ice cream sammiches.

This used to be sweet bistro where many days and nights were shared with friends. This particular storefront is even more rare because it's not a chain and is open late, for the way working folk have needed to live here for a long time. It's not Whole Foods or Vitamin Shoppe (or whatever that chain's named), but a humble spot where the selection of vitamins, herbs, topicals and a few pantry staples probably contains exactly what you're looking for. Ask any of my neighbors what they think about your cough, sniffle or dry skin, and they'll tell you, "Go see the vitamin guy on 23rd." And you should. Because for years, he's dispensed sound counsel to a number of us whose needs aren't easily addressed by either of those aforementioned chains or that chain pharmacy who makes you summon a worker to unlock some dental floss. I'd been recovering from RSV when my husband stopped by the Vitamin Guy and told him about my lingering cough and shallow breathing. He brought home some Olbas syrup and a tincture containing a melange of herbs, half of which I was familiar as a TCM patient for a number of years. Within week one I was feeling great relief. A neighbor who'd been hit with the same condition went and had his own chat and relief success story a week after me, and unprompted, said, "Vitamin Guy saved me again!" This is but one of many ways Vitamin Guy's helped me, my husband and many neighbors over 18 years. Go see him the next time you're wondering what you can do about whatever's ailing you; he probably has some sound advice to share, and you'd be keeping the lights on amid the many otherwise darkened storefronts that don't exactly inspire confidence around greater Chelsea.

For anyone who takes their fitness seriously and is looking for nutritional supplements to achieve…read moretheir goals, I highly recommend Vital Nutrition for your needs. For years, I would depend on the corporate chains such as GNC and Vitamin Shoppe for help on such matters, leading to disappointing results. Luckily, a gym buddy of mine referred Vital Nutrition to me, and I'm happy to say I haven't looked back since. The owners, Chris & Rob, are friendly and (more importantly) knowledgable about the products they have on stock, and will do their absolute best to find the right fit for you. If you are looking to lose those nagging love handles (like I am), Vital Nutrition carries a large selection of fat burners, diuretics, whole food cleansers, and appetite suppressants. Should you want to build some size on those muscles (as I do), their options include protein powders & bars, BCAA's, testosterone boosters, and quality pre and post-workout supplements. Or if you simply want to maintain your healthy lifestyle (...), you can choose from their full line of natural vitamins, heart/liver/kidney support, fish & flaxseed oils, and green superfoods. Personally, no matter which goals I have at the moment, EVERY product they've recommended to me has worked...EVERY PRODUCT. Now if you are on a budget (again, like I am), you'll find their prices as competitive as anything you will find online. Hey, I love their advice and service, but I gots to look out for my wallet, amirite? If you've been a victim of being sold ineffective supplements by a sales representative who promises "this stuff will make you lean/buff/totally and completely healthy" and not getting the results you desired, then please head to Vital Nutrition for the best products and services at competitive prices.
