Trying to count the times that we have been to Breakthrough, Midtown, and Rise and Shine Nutrition...well, let's just say that it's close to a bunch and a half. So, how could Lit Nutrition be open for about 18 months and we'd never known about it? Yesterday we had breakfast at another local place and driving home, we happened to pass by Lit Nutrition and thought, what the hey? When we got home I looked them up and, yes sir, they are part of the Herbalife family. So, this morning as soon as we finished watching the video service from Crosswinds Church, we drove over to check it out. It must be something about the folks who open such places (or perhaps they inject some magical substance into anyone who desires to open a Herbalife store which makes them so friendly?); though we were never there before, Manny treated us like family and was as helpful and friendly as Nick, Blair, Sherri, Leslie, and everyone else we've seen behind the counter at a Herbalife store. As expected, many similarities to Breakthrough, Midtown, and Rise & Shine Nutrition, but just as likely, some differences that make each place different, but all so special. While Breakthrough and Midtown Nutrition have the same mix of teas and smoothies (they are both owned by Nick and Blair), Rise and Shine as well as Lit Nutrition have a different name for them (although the shake we had today was reminiscent of one we had (under a different name) at Breakthrough Nutrition. Still, the quality of the teas and smoothies were up to the high standard of Herbalife and delicious. Did I mention that they are lo-calorie and YUMMY? I had the Hot Tamale tea (oh, Pancho!), while Kathy chose the Russian Twist (da, comrade!) and both were so great that I had finished mine and almost finished my smoothie before I remembered to take some photos. We both had the White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup smoothie and they also did not last long. Smooth flavors that demanded another sip, and another, and another...then the cup is empty and my heart was sad. Comfortable seating at the bar as well as some other places within the store; it is just a really party-like place that has lots to offer (especially for regular customers with specials and freebies...did I mention I like freebies?). Good tunes playing (Motown on Pandora) and friendly talk with Manny and others inside made for a really enjoyable time. We will be back (with apologies to the Terminator),

Their tenet is "A Gathering Place for Spirit, Mind and Body", and that certainly rings true. There is an immediate sense of love and calm when you walk in. I popped into the center a few years ago and owner Susan greeted me and gave me some information. There was no hard sell to try the treatments or the many products on the shelves. She took me for a tour and described the services they offer. I booked a consultation with Susan, and she advised me to bring in the vitamins I was taking for review. She really took the time to answer all my questions, It was very thorough consultation. She muscle-tested me for each vitamin, and we learned there were a couple in the bunch that my body was not calling for. The consultation came with a complimentary treatment and I chose the LED Light Therapy. I had been having issues with the left side of my body from my shoulder to my wrist and after 6 months wasn't getting any better. I actually felt a marked difference after just one treatment I decided to go for the package of 10. By the time I got to the end of my 10, the difference was dramatic!. During that time, I also injured my knee to the point I couldn't put any pressure on it. My friend took me in (had to use crutches) and after the treatment I could limp out without the crutches! Since they have 3 pads and can treat 3 body parts in each session, for the remaining sessions they placed one on my knee and 2 on my left arm, and all continued to improve. The treatment was working so well I ordered another round of 10. The reason I am finally taking the time to write this today is, I had a fall and twisted that same knee. I hadn't been in in a while because of, well life, and also because my body was no longer screaming at me! Again after that one treatment I felt so much relief on my knee. I'm sitting here feeling so blessed I knew I had to finally stop and write this review. I have not yet tried the other treatments offered there because the LED Light therapy has been working so well for me. But at some point I would like to. Bottom line, I'm not a person to run to a Dr. unless absolutely necessary. I much prefer a more holistic approach, and am so happy and blessed to have found it close by in Natural Health Center. Susan and her staff are very knowledgable, loving and caring. I look forward to going in and miss it when I don't! I also get my free-range eggs there!
