Little did we know there is an art studio on the second floor of the building. I had just had knee replacement surgery 8 weeks earlier and it was well worth the climbing of the stairs. Karen was welcoming and full of interesting information. Her art may look familiar, but she puts her own twist on things. My favorite piece is the Marilyn Monroe painting. Most photos or paintings you see of Marilyn exhibit a buxom blonde bombshell. Karen's rendering gave a sweeter and more interesting twist to this iconic figure. I asked if I could take pictures to put on Yelp and Karen was more than willing to let me do so. She offers photography, painting classes and uses materials that are nontoxic. I should have bought the Marilyn painting( but there were so many to choose from that I really couldn't decide. Guess I'll just have to go back again!

This isn't your run of the mill math tutoring center that teaches your child how to be a $2 calculator - the kids actually understand the theories behind what they are doing, so it's beyond rote memorization. Aside from the actual mathematics, RSM teaches a school of thought that isn't displayed in the regular classroom. They instill the methodology of thinking rather than memorizing and this has shown great results in my classes and math competitions. Without the weekly meetings, my intellectual and mathematical abilities would be no where near as gifted and refined. I think that RSM is the absolute, only route that should be taken when deciding on a tutoring/extracurricular academics and I strongly recommend this to everyone.
