Worst Hallmark store ever. I've returned to this store several times simply because of its'…read moreconvenient location, and nearly every time I'm reminded that I shouldn't have come back. The store is poorly laid out, cluttered, one disaster clearance aisle, and the staff is either rude or too new to know how to do much to help. Last case, darling husband bought me two red wallets as a gift... which I didn't need. When I arrived at the store I proceeded to the counter with the wallets and their receipt to ask what my options were. I'd hoped to be told, a sore credit so I could shop for a replacement gift. I was "greeted" by an older employee who scoffed, she couldn't help me, she was supposed to have left 15 minutes earlier (sorry I didn't know her time clock). The younger girl tried to help, but was too new... so who did she turn to, the same older employee. I immediately knew this was going to go badly. The older employee took my receipt and began to simply do a refund, not what I was exactly wanting, then got upset because I didn't have my husband's credit card (why would I, it was a gift that I'd hoped to get a store credit for but that wasn't offered). I was told to leave and return with his credit card, no store will help without a credit card (funny, my experience is that many stores don't need the card as it's part of the barcode on the receipt, but ok it's their policy). Still, I'd hoped for a store credit, but I was only offered a refund. My twelve year old son that had accompanied me through this ordeal was left asking me why we treated so poorly. I couldn't answer him. Once home, I gave my husband my gift, told him how we were treated and told him to return it. He took it back, got a refund without issue. I told him to never go back to this or any other Green Apple Hallmark store. I'd rather shop at a drug store for a card, or any other store for a gift than deal with them ever again. I will contact Hallmark about this store, its' employees, this and other experiences. I hope they audit this store. I hope that employees like this are either successfully retrained or dismissed if they can't handle themselves in a more professional way.

Thinking it would be a wonderful present, I googled some places that sold it. I was shocked to see that Ram Creations was apparently one of the biggest sellers of Lladro in the US and so close by. I immediately grabbed my mom so I could let her pick out her present in person. Seeing her face as we walked in was worth the trip in itself, but it was even better when she saw that some of the pieces were Indian inspired (apparently that was new since the last time she bought a piece). Ever since then we've been going as a mother daughter trip to their yearly Lladro shows where the artists themselves come in and make pieces live (really really cool thing to see). While I was there for the Lladro pieces I noticed that they also sell jewelry. This made me think of them when my beloved family heirloom completely broke (the event that triggered the need to write this review). I went there to see if I could find another one just like it to wear instead. I was blown away at the response of the salesperson (Perhaps the owner? The guy with the mustache...) when I explained my story. He flashed a big smile and listened while I explained how important my family heirloom was to me and immediately offered to try and fix it (an option I didn't think I had). While he was doing that, another salesperson was looking through all of their catalogs to see if they could find me something similar. Eventually, the store owner was able to fix it for me, but I decided that given it's fragile state it was probably just best to start a new tradition with the same sentiment and pass down a new necklace. I then asked the owner to melt it and form it into the exact same necklace but just thicker and stronger. I was extremely pleased when I got it back and it looked exactly like my family heirloom, just fresher and stronger. Quite honestly more than anything, I was really blown away by their understanding of my whole predicament. Its rare to see that kind of customer service these days (especially with the internet and all), so I really appreciated it. The next time I buy Lladro or jewelry, I will be sure to make this place my first stop. It was nice to see that a local family owned and operated business was able to help out my family. I guess there are definitely some things you still can't get on the internet (great in person customer service... not family :))!

Guess its easier to do chores when out of town than at home. Each time I have gone to Hattie's Hallmark and interacted with the ladies working there I can feel their bubbly enthusiasm. I get greeted there, I get attended too even though I'm just buying a card, and they make the simple transaction like I gave them a million bucks.....
