Worst Hallmark store ever. I've returned to this store several times simply because of its'…read moreconvenient location, and nearly every time I'm reminded that I shouldn't have come back. The store is poorly laid out, cluttered, one disaster clearance aisle, and the staff is either rude or too new to know how to do much to help. Last case, darling husband bought me two red wallets as a gift... which I didn't need. When I arrived at the store I proceeded to the counter with the wallets and their receipt to ask what my options were. I'd hoped to be told, a sore credit so I could shop for a replacement gift. I was "greeted" by an older employee who scoffed, she couldn't help me, she was supposed to have left 15 minutes earlier (sorry I didn't know her time clock). The younger girl tried to help, but was too new... so who did she turn to, the same older employee. I immediately knew this was going to go badly. The older employee took my receipt and began to simply do a refund, not what I was exactly wanting, then got upset because I didn't have my husband's credit card (why would I, it was a gift that I'd hoped to get a store credit for but that wasn't offered). I was told to leave and return with his credit card, no store will help without a credit card (funny, my experience is that many stores don't need the card as it's part of the barcode on the receipt, but ok it's their policy). Still, I'd hoped for a store credit, but I was only offered a refund. My twelve year old son that had accompanied me through this ordeal was left asking me why we treated so poorly. I couldn't answer him. Once home, I gave my husband my gift, told him how we were treated and told him to return it. He took it back, got a refund without issue. I told him to never go back to this or any other Green Apple Hallmark store. I'd rather shop at a drug store for a card, or any other store for a gift than deal with them ever again. I will contact Hallmark about this store, its' employees, this and other experiences. I hope they audit this store. I hope that employees like this are either successfully retrained or dismissed if they can't handle themselves in a more professional way.
