I've been on the hunt for a new eyebrow threading person I can trust since I'm extremely picky…read moreabout my brows and just moved to San Diego. I kept seeing amazing reviews about Reena, so I called her and she was able to fit me in later that afternoon. She is incredibly sweet and really took the time to analyze my eyebrows -- where I was missing growth, what shape was realistic for my face, and how to get me there over time. She even intentionally left some hairs so they could grow in more before shaping them in future visits. You can tell she's a true artist and actually cares about long-term results, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be coming back. I will say she's a little on the pricier side for eyebrow threading, but that may just be the going rate in San Diego.

Reena is impeccable! I had her do my bridal hair, makeup and henna. I cannot express how grateful I…read moream to have had her by my side. Her attention to detail, ability to listen to what the bride/client wants, and high quality products make the finishing look glamorous. I loved how she did my wedding day make up. It was exactly what I wanted! The day after my wedding, my skin was in perfect condition as if I never had any make up on! I feel like that's a big testament to the products she uses. Additionally, her henna work is stunning!!! An artistic hand that is pure talent and skill. On top of that, talking to her felt like I've known her for years because she is so pleasant and caring. Anytime I had questions, I would message her and she would immediately respond. What makes her stand out is how passionate she is about her work and how that shows in her finishing touches. Highly highly recommend her!

She was flexible when I was running behind and I appreciated that a lot. She was able to freestyle a beauuutiful design from what I told her with ease and finesse. I luuuv her creativity. She's still AWESOME! THANK YOU again!! If anyone in the Yelp Community is interested in Henna, Daniela is your girl :-)

I got it done a day before going to a sound healing and even wore it during Thanksgiving and I have been getting nonstop compliments on the beautiful henna that Daniela created. Thank you so much. Side note because I have more Melanin (deep brown skin) I did some side research on how to make sure the henna looks a deeper shade of brown and last longer on me and I came across a lot of YouTube advice. I am not a doctor and Daniela didn't advise me to do this so do it only if you want to. But it worked for me. I let regular wind air dry my henna for 3 hours. When I got home i warmed up my arm in the henna area near my little bedroom personal heater at a very comfortable warm temp nothing extreme at all for 3 minutes at a time took a break and did another 3 minutes until the henna was pretty much dry 95%. I'm sure I could have used a hair dryer to speed up the process. Then I wrapped the whole henna creation gently with toilet paper and then over that wrapped the area with plastic wrap and feel asleep with it on overnight. Then over a huge cookie sheet lined with wax paper in the turned off shower I unwrapped everything and let some pieces of henna fall onto the the lined cookie sheet. And for the pieces still stuck I applied a little coconut oil to the remaining henna and gently removed the rest henna with the dull backside of a butter knife. Then I used more coconut oil a few napkins to take off any left over brown oily henna residue. Aka I used no water on the henna tattoo to avoid diluting it. And every I took a shower I used soap every where but the henna tat area. And only used coconut oil and Luke warm water in the tat area. Hope this helps if you did decide to do it.

We had the henna party last weekend and it was for my birthday and we had a BLAST! There was about 10 of us and she was here for 2 hours and all of our designs were hand drawn and inspired by what our ideas were and by her own creation. Can't wait to get another one done! All natural products too, sugar water to set. And she also has glitter to make you sparkle while your design stains. So fun!

I think when you're getting…read moremarried its not just design that's important - although yes that is very important and I LOVED the henna Sonie did for me -- whats equally important is how the artist makes you feel, especially during such an important occasion as your wedding. Let me break it down: 1. Design - Sonie discussed with me beforehand what I wanted in my design and let me be as specific or open-minded as I wanted to be. Once she had an idea of my vision, she shared numerous designs and styles to really get a sense of what I was looking for. On my henna day, she continuously asked me if I liked where the design was going and if I wanted to give any further input. 2. Supplies - Sonie blew me away with how prepared she was to get going on the lengthy design - keep in mind wedding henna takes HOURS. She had brought all kinds of things with her just in case I wanted to use them and really made it convenient. 3. Patience - I started my henna later than I expected so Sonie was still working on me through the night as my guests arrived and the party got started. Although I dont recommend this to anyone, and I really think you should get your design done before your guests arrive to avoid distractions, Sonie remained patient with me and my need for breaks. She was understanding and flexible. 4. Comfort - as I mentioned at the beginning, what is as equally important as the artist's skill, is how they make you feel - and Sonie made me feel SO comfortable! She has an open, welcoming spirit. A great warmth that you want in someone who is going to be sitting in front of you for a prolonged period of time. She's mindful that its your time, but also friendly, so that you're able to chat with her easily as the design is being made. I seriously recommend her just for this point only - the mood she puts you in and the vibes that come from her are a great way to start your wedding (or any special day/event). Apologies for the long post but she deserves it!
