Amazing staff and choices of groceries to choose from…read more I come here when I am out of something at home. Sometimes they don't have what I look for, but that's rare. Just be sure to check the "best by" dates on items. I scored meat that was a range between $4-$6 off since it was supposed to "expire" the day of. This was a steal because all I had was $14 and my total for 2 picnic packs of chicken, 1 pack of chicken breasts, and a fee other items came out to $14.02. This was definitely a rare occasion. I hope they don't get rid of this location since it's so convenient to the neighborhoods surrounding it.

I have been shopping on and off at this location for years as it is within a mile of my home and…read morethis is by far the WORST location ever! I have had multiple complaints over the years about their rude employees and have voiced them to Kia (the owner) several times and she just brushes them off stating that it is difficult working in customer service. Like, really, ya don't say so? I am all about sticking up for your employees if they are treated badly, but not encouraging them to be a-holes and jerks to your good customers! The latest incident I had was taking off the cap of a Downy bottle to smell the scent since it was one I had never bought before. I hear this light voice and I turn to my right and one of Kia's employees telling me to NOT open the bottles to smell the fragrance. Uh, excuse me? How am I supposed to know if I like the scent or not? I told her employee right then and there the same thing. He shook his head and proceeded to tell me to make sure it is nice and tight to avoid spillage. This was the last time that I shopped at this location as I won't ever go back, which is a shame cause it is so convenient; however, I am sick and tired of being harassed by Kia's employees for no reason. I understand it is located in a ghetto "iffy" area of town but Kia, you do have some great customers and your staff should treat us respectfully and courteously. As a matter of fact, if I am in other areas of town I wlll shop at other locations. I happened to be in Cerritos yesterday morning so I trekked over to the Lakewood location and happened to be speaking to their owner (Aram) and voiced my opinions about Kia's location and he stated that's a shame and I am always welcome over at his location (I was complimenting him on how nice and friendly his employees are).

This is such a cute little thrift/vintage shop that we happened to stumble into. It's part of a…read morelittle strip mall with a vet, groomers, nail shop, hair place and coffee shop. Parking can be a little struggle as it was pretty packed when we arrived. First off, right when I walked in I was greeted by the three amazing and very funny ladies. Especially the one behind the counter. She was a major hoot that we all got a laugh with. It makes the shopping experience way better. It's broken down into two different sides. The main being where there cashier is and the women's department. They also have a pretty massive selection with accessories, jewelry and shoes. Plus shoes were half off. The other section house more of the home wares stuff, trinkets, glassware, furniture, babies and men's. There were loads of dish ware. Its nice to see that the place was very neat and organized which is also a major plus when browsing through. Makes it more easy to pick something up without having to dig through piles. There's not a big selection for men and kids as it was mainly a little sections. But pretty extensive collection for chinas and crystals. Woman's had the entire section for clothing and accessories. The staff were all amazing and friendly. Such sweetheart and major dolls. Chatting with them was so fun. Found out that the money goes to different charities which makes the shopping experience more enjoyable knowing that you helped someways. I was glad to walk into a cute little shop.

The vibe is friendly, the layout is clean, and the staff actually seems excited to help you find what you need. The team here is dialed in. You don't get that "big-box store shrug." Instead, they greet you, ask what you're looking for, and actually walk you to the right section instead of pointing vaguely into the distance. Whether it's shoes, bikes, camping gear, or swim stuff, they know their inventory and give real recommendations, not upsells. Checkout is quick, returns are painless, and they're patient even when you're trying on half the shoe wall. Sports Basement always feels like you're getting more than you're paying for. Prices are competitive, and the Basementeer membership is a legit perk if you shop here often, discounts, rentals, and community events. You can grab premium brands without feeling like you're getting gouged, and their rental program saves a ton if you're testing out gear or prepping for a trip. This store is stacked. Running shoes, hiking boots, bikes, snow gear, yoga mats, swimwear, team sports equipment, you name it, they probably have it. The best part is the range: budget-friendly basics all the way up to high-end performance gear. It's easy to compare brands side-by-side, and they keep seasonal items well-stocked. Sports Basement Long Beach nails the trifecta: great service, solid value, and a huge selection. Whether you're gearing up for a hike, replacing worn-out gym shoes, or just browsing, it's one of the most reliable spots in the area. Miguel C.
