He was very attentive and wanted to get a vibe for what the group (6 women) wanted and enjoys in life - all so HE could plan 2 amazing days at wineries in the greater Portland area. After the chat, we netted out on two full days (8 hrs each day. We survived by the way.) in June. He picked us up right at our Airbnb (Pearl) in a comfortable van with lots of room and already had the jams playing (his 90s/00s playlist is ON POINT). For the first day, we went out to the Mt. Hood area which was beyond beautiful (don't think I've ever seen a winery with a majestic mountain as a back drop). I highly recommend this route as it has more of a mom & pop feeling than other major wine areas I've visited (especially if you can do multiple days in this region). You also get a wider range of varietals vs. Willamette (not knocking W.V. AT ALL as I'm a Pinot Noir gal). Cedric completely planned the entire day and we hit up 4 different wineries and none disappointed. He also grabbed us lunch which was fantastic. The drive is beautiful along the Colombia River. Dropped off at our place in the Pearl. Day 2 (the following day) we hit up the famous Willamette Valley. We had a couple last minute requests (in terms of must-have wineries) that Cedric completely accommodated and he re-routed our day to ensure we hit the best of the best. He worked his magic and we were able to visit FIVE (!), including the last stop where we chatted with the owner/winemaker while playing bocce ball (Utopia wines). It was a fantastic day. We visited some big players like Domaine Serene (YES) and Stoller (great for a picnic lunch), but also some smaller but beautiful wineries like Colene Clemens (top of hill overlooking valley) and Vista Hills (think tree house vibes). Cedric promised a magical day and he delivered. This was by far my favorite wine tour experience and I've done a lot of them across the country/world. Cedric was the difference maker. He's a fantastic and hilarious host and truly makes the experience one to remember. His company has other drivers as well and I imagine they are of the same breed as Mr. Cedric, so no matter who you get, you won't be disappointed!!

Jeff is an excellent guide and picked us up at our hotel. We were able to see Latourell, Multnomah, and Wakheena waterfalls; Bonneville Dam; and various scenic viewpoints. He provided interesting information and stories about the various points of interest, complete with visuals that we passed around in the shuttle. It was a great time and an efficient way to spend a morning if you're only visiting Portland for a few days and don't have a rental car.

The selection of which wineries, we left up to Carmine, and he hit exactly what we were hoping to achieve. Finding some under the radar labels and learning more about willamette valley and the surrounding area. This time we tried out Christom, Brooks, Bethel Height, domaine Serene, Posessed wines and picked up a couple cases from Holloran. Our first winery was Bethel Heights, and was taken aback about how good this tasting flight was, especially the buttery tasting Chardonnay. A perfect way to start a cloudy but adventurous day. Brooks Winery - Lunch was exceptional, we tried the chicken and butternut Squash, also ended up loving their selection of Pinot's and Riesling's and immediately became a member after finding what we consider the perfect Riesling. In Salem we stopped by Christom and only positive things to say about the exceptional tasting we had. We added this winery to our growing membership list. I believe it was their Chardonnay, Pinot and price point that raised the bar for us.. In Dundee Hills we stopped by Domaine Serene which we already had a membership. We had brilliant time there and ended up buying more of their wines. Carmine also treated us to his personal brand possessed wines and it's a treat, beautiful flavor profiles, clean biodynamic winemaking. Of the bottles we tried his Somm Select Rose and Syrah were my favorites. Ended up coming back to the hotel last night putting on some Bee Gees and finishing up the bottle of cool climate Syrah.. When we get back to Honolulu, definitely going to dive into the other bottles and really explore the different offerings. Overall tour - cost is reasonable, especially for a private tour, and not having to worry about transportation and setting up the tastings. I have allot of favorite parts of the tour so hard to pick one. Best way to explain this is we're already planning for our next tour with Carmine and we really hope we could invite some friends to experience what we did.. this tour is the perfect romantic journey with your loved one, trying out the different wines and just having a great day but it can also be wonderful, educational experience and how good the wines, wineries and elevated experiences this tour offers.
