After confirming the job they basically "went dark" with communication, with us continually calling them with no response, & we decided to cancel with them & return to Loveseat --- & couldn't be happier. Loveseat measured everything the first time we went in, just friendly with no pressure & no worries. Great communication too (why does that seem to be a dying art?!), as well as turn-around. Final result? We Love our new seats & would recommend them in a heartbeat! Next time we'll head here first, lesson learned!

I…read moretook in the tattered cushions from a pair of barstools to Pabros, and asked them to cover them in leather, which were originally covered in Naugahyde type substance which did not hold up. As you can see in the photos, the barstools are now Beautiful, Better than new. They did it for a good price, and got it done faster than the original estimated time. These could have ended up in a landfill, but instead will give us many years of use.

I also asked Desiree and Tony to make the seat cushions and 10 back cushions of my kitchen window seat about 6 years ago. That window seat forms the breakfast nook in my kitchen. My 7 grandchildren have given it a workout over the years. A few of the seams were splitting as the threads had broken. I took the seat cushions back to Desiree and Tony at Petaluma Textile and Design for repair. I was surprised that after 6 years they remembered me and welcomed me like an old friend. They fixed the cushions and when I went to pay for the repair, Tony said, "Oh, there is no charge. It was just some broken threads." Honestly, it made my day. The quality of their work and the fabrics they use are recommendations enough, but Desiree and Tony are also kind and friendly. Not only was he prompt in replying to our message, but he quickly arranged a visit to our home to assess the chairs, provide a quantity for fabric (we had planned to purchase this ourselves), and compose an estimate for the cost and the delivery schedule. We then went in search of fabric at Sal Beressi's on the edge of the Mission (at John's recommendation) and found the perfect material (this after searching most of the Bay Area fabric emporiums).
