Recently went to this physician for an ongoing foot problem. I've been to Martin Foot and Ankle, as…read morewell as my family doctor and had gotten no resolution from either. He has mixed reviews, however I was willing to give him a shot since he's near my work and in network with my insurance. I had had an appt a year prior which I had to cancel due to covid. My records were sent there from Martin Foot and Ankle and confirmed as such. Yes, it's my fault I waited a year to reschedule. Sometimes, especially in my world, life gets chaotic and you put yourself on the back burner. So when I did call to reschedule and mentioned the records, they assured me if they didn't have them they would get them. My appt was booked a few weeks out. I was a little annoyed that when I arrived they did not have my records, despite being assured they would get them. However by the time I was in the room they were obtained and everything ran smoothly. I really liked the doctor and thought he did a thorough exam, much better than anyone else I was seen by for this issue. He took his time, explained things, and even addressed a skin issue on my feet my dermatologist has been unable to resolve successfully for over a year. While I do need some additional testing done elsewhere to get a concrete diagnosis I feel comfortable that we are moving in the right direction. I will note that if you are overly concerned with Covid this probably isn't the practice for you. I thought it was standard practice for all medical offices to insist on mask wearing but here they don't wear them and don't require that you do. They are a family run business, and the few staff that they have are related so it's nice they keep it in the family.

I definitely would NOT recommend this office to anyone. I brought my mom for her first appointment…read moreat this office. We live 45 minutes away but it's connected to Wellspan, so we decided to use them since all her other doctors are with Wellspan. The first issue is that the GPS directions to the office take you to a CVS store and you have to find the actual office on your own. The second and much more frustrating issue is that because my mom has mobility issues and walks quite slowly with her walker, we arrived 12 minutes past her appointment time. When I spoke to the person at the reception desk, she said they have a "10 minute policy" and that my mom would have to reschedule her appointment. I told them we had driven 45 minutes to get there and they could clearly see she has issues walking, but they didn't care. I let them know we would be making an appointment with another provider because we're certainly NOT returning to them. It took longer than 2 minutes for her to walk from the handicap parking spot to the office. They could have seen her through the windows as she approached the office. It's difficult for her to get out of the house and for us to go through that and drive 45 minutes one way only to be turned away was absolutely ridiculous. My mom got back in the car in tears. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated by this whole experience and we will be making out next appointment with a provider who has no association with Martin foot and ankle

I noticed within 6 months that the left foot orthodic was wearing thin and making a hole at the heal. I went back to Martin's and was told that it would cost me $400 to replace the defective product with which I was provided provided 6 months ago. I was thoroughly dissapointed that this company had no concern about their patient's care. It appears that they are more concerned about the dollars in their pocket than taking care of their patient. I am sure if they contacted the manufacture of this defective product and told them of the problem, the manufacturer would make things right if they wanted to keep their business. I will get my care elsewhere and certainly not recommend them Mike R

I would give her 4 stars for her compassion and knowledge. But she was the only bright spot in this entire debacle. The office staff in the Willow Street office is terrible. Condescending. Patronizing. Unprofessional. No follow-through. A staff member even tried to tell me they left me a voicemail message about going to another provider to get my orthotics. This was not true. Not sure whose phone they called and left a message on, but it wasn't mine. I have my phone records for the last 6 months saved on my phone. Incoming, outgoing, even the deleted ones. No one from this office EVER called me. I was always the one initiating the follow up calls. Down right infuriating. Especially the office manager. After a very exasperating phone conversation with her, yesterday, about an email she had sent me, I asked to leave a voicemail message for Dr. Henderson, the owner. The office manager told me Dr. Henderson didn't have a voicemail. When Dr. Henderson did call me back today, I asked her if she had a voicemail and she said yes. The office manager couldn't even tell the truth about that. What it all boils down to is this: after almost TWO MONTHS of trying to find out from Henderson if my insurance company would pay for my orthotics, I found out that I actually needed to call another provider, Hanger Clinic. I got their phone number and called them right away. Within THREE HOURS, Hanger had the answer I needed about my insurance coverage. THREE HOURS! You tell me...did I receive patient centered care from Henderson Podiatry? I don't believe I did.
