This was my very first time visiting Holiday World, and honestly, the little kid in me was SO…read moreexcited. I grew up watching videos about Holiday World on the Travel Channel and hearing all about the iconic Voyage, so finally getting to experience the park for myself was pretty surreal. And I have to say, the trip absolutely lived up to my expectations. I went with Scream Queens Coaster Club, an LGBTQ+ roller coaster community that travels around the country visiting different theme parks throughout the year. We started the day at the water park and knocked out all of the water coasters. We even had enough time to do a quick change in the super clean changing rooms before skedaddling over to the main amusement park to hit all of the coasters. It was a VERY busy day, but the operations were incredibly efficient, and we were able to get a lot done. The biggest surprises for me were, first, the drinks. I genuinely did not expect Holiday World to have alcohol LOL. And second, the food at the Thanksgiving restaurant, which was actually really good. Huge shoutout to the staff because everyone we interacted with was SO friendly, even with the park being packed and the lines getting longer and longer. There was one guy working there who looked like he could be no older than 15, LOL, and that kid was HUSTLING. He was working so hard trying to keep things moving despite how busy it was, so shoutout to him in particular. Overall, Holiday World completely delivered. Between the nostalgia, the coasters, the water park, the food, the drinks, and the genuinely friendly staff, I had such a great time. I'm already looking forward to going back next year and riding the new water coaster!

Sunday, 9/13/16, was our first ever visit as lifelong Indiana residents. First complaint, the park…read moreis very confusing. The maps and what is in front of you don't add up. Near the splashing safari, we were so confused. My poor disabled mother walked around the whole water park twice just trying to find the seating area, where we were parked. Now for the two really big issues, that ruined our trip and the overall vibe. Riding the jungle racers, I caught some air. I happen to look down after getting up and noticed red all over my arm. Thinking it was soda, I wiped it off. Nope! It was my blood. The slide put a pretty nasty gash in my elbow. So, I make it over to the first aid room. Blood pouring down my arm, they had no interest in talking to me very much. They only gave me a bandaid and sent me on my way. Nothing to clean to the blood or even a butterfly just to close the wound. It ended up so bad that it was still bleeding by the end of the day. So luckily, I had a first aid kit in my car and did my own first aid. (It's still bleeding days later and now needs stiches) I also hurt my ankle pretty bad. Immediately, from leaving the first aid room, we're looking for anywhere to sit down and cool off, trying to make it to the water show later. I'm not even really thinking at this point. All of sudden, I hear a lady CHASING us down to let me know I have to change clothes. Keep in mind, I'm in a high waisted bathing suit that are like shorts anyways. She also told my sister to cover up, but Beth (another team member) then said, no it's fine actually. Right in front of us, was a girl in a thong pushing her stroller. Nothing was said to her and nothing was said to the girl vaping right in front Beth's face. I let her know, that it's really weird because I see other people walking out in bathing suits and I was allowed to come in, in a bathing suit. Beth starts to get very rude with us and says we should have been stopped at the gates upfront and "there's signs right in front of your face". I got changed, as soon as we got past her, we see multiple women with no pants on, showing their bathing suit bikini pants, kids running around in diapers, etc. So really weird, that some people are coming just for the water park and we apparently can't wear our bathing suits. Not to mention, the fact that I was the only one talked too IN A BATHING SUIT WITH SHORTS. I also am not sure, why Beth and this girl who was with her just get to pick and choose, who needs to change. Clearly, they're picking and choosing, because I seen plenty of people showing their bathing suit bottoms in more revealing clothes than I was in, then they're not even following the same set of rules because they backtracked. For the price we pay, you think we would be able to go to the park without being yelled at and embarrassed. Which is totally understandable that there are signs, but 1. I wasn't paying attention right that second coming out of first aid, and 2. The signs don't matter when your team picks and chooses who has to follow the rules. After that, we move on to the marvelous nook show. We stop at one oasis close, here comes Beth watching us. We move up farther to the shop in Halloween town, here she is again following us, staring at us. Followed us all the way to the marvelous nook show where she watched us for a minute then left. To be harassed over something so little and then followed is wild. Like I promise, I didnt re put on my bathing suit, but I guess she felt the need to check. Keep in mind, there were once again women at the show wearing full on bathing suits and showing their legs. I work in a large hospitality facility too, usually the rule has to be followed by everyone to fight discrimination, but okay. Keep in mind, around 1 we went to leave and grab our bathing suits from the car. Coming back, there was no security out front checking bags. Just one person monitoring the gate. So, as a paying customer, this made me feel like you cared more about my bathing suit, then the actual well-being and safety of your guests. We won't be back.

Our adventure started with the entrance drive. Lots of low spots filled with water. Needed a load of gravel. Check in was easy to find with signage, plus. Our teepee flap was open and the inside was wet. Most of the other teepee seemed to be on wooden decks. Ours was on 3 foot uneven sections of black plastic squares... think plastic milk or storage crates. Large open areas in the plastic. The sides of the teepee were 4 to 6 inches above the plastic deck... any critters could have came on in! They supplied 4 aluminum framed army cots. We knew we had to bring our own bedding or sleeping bags. We also choose to stay here because it was pet friendly. My dog was afraid of the slick open grate flooring. I was afraid she would sneak out the open bottom of the teepee, yes big enough for our 34 lb girl to go under. We decided to fold the seats down in our SUV and sleep in there to keep dry. My husband decided at 11 pm that this was nuts and we were leaving. One for the memory book. I would not recommend staying here. The facilities really have neglected maintenance. The restroom facility was marginal...think gas station restroom. I gave it one star because I think 5 to 10 year old boys would love this place in the summer. The rest if us adults need to find a glamping experience. The price was reasonable, you get what you pay for.

Sometimes on our visits nothing does happen, after all it is not GHOST ON DEMAND ,On this particular Night in August 2025 it started like a lot of our visits not a lot of activity. We brought our own Rem Pod (Device that lights up multi colored lights when energy is close to it) and We use an app Called Spirit Talker that I have downloaded on MY phone. It was a fairly quiet night, As it got close to the end of our visit, We decided to finish it out in the attic. We were all in the little space on the 3rd floor, the room with the with the mirrors and a Ouija Board. We started calling on Big Black,I've read about him in some of the reviews. It is suppose to be A Black Shadowy mist that I personally had never encountered but I thought What the heck lets try. My app started Interacting with us immediately. It was actually answering all the Questions. I felt a cold chill and that's when my Phone said "Its me I'm making it cold in here" When I asked if it was Big Black my phone replied "Yes I'm here Don' t mess with me." The next phrase was Malevolent, That Got our attention. Our entire group was Trapped in that small Space. We heard a loud bang at the area where we had sat our Rem Pod in between the space that we were in and the exit to get down the stairs, That's when The shadowy Mist past right in front of the Rem Pod!!!! The Rem Pod Glowed Red And lit up the whole attic ..We have had this Rem Pod for at least a year and have NEVER seen it light up that Bright ,and one color. JUST RED!!!!! All the equipment that we were using belonged to us,so no chance of anything being rigged, We couldn't get out of that attic fast enough. I know it sounds crazy but cant wait to go back again, We have had so many experiences at Whispers its unbelievable. You just have to be patient and Listen. Honestly I don't know what it is about that house but it literally calls us back... Curiosity maybe??? Or is it something more? Not Sure I really want to know. I Just know its not your ordinary house.

I called on the 22nd of March to stay that Sunday the 24th the owner was suppose to call me back…read moreand never did. I called today (1st of april) spoke to a lady about staying on the 7th. She told me they needed 10 days advance. I told her it didnt state that on the website. She told me I can speak to the owner so I did and reminded him of the conversation we had on the 22nd. He basically recapped it, but then when I told him he didnt call me back I was called "pissy" "asshole" and a "bitch" before I was hung up on. Prior to being hung up on I did tell him I had been there 2 other times and no cussing was needed. He told me he wasn't Walmart and he didnt need to listen to my problem...so we will NOT be staying there EVER again.
