The carwash malfunctioned on my car. the hydraulics for the top roller stopped working so it scraped it all over my roof the entire wash and left soap all over my car. The cashier wouldn't give a refund so I filled out a report but never got a call back. And their voice mailbox is full. The place clearly values profits over customers. be warned, don't go to this Shell. Especially for a carwash. read more

I filed an incident report about a month ago because the car wash scratched my hood. They have yet to respond to my emailed incident report, I've called many times to the manager with no call back. Today the gas station employee told me that the manager prefers not to talk about the incident over the phone but offered no appt or time to stop by and talk in person, they said to keep stopping by until I run into her. I asked to corporate phone number to get the ball rolling and they gave me the general manager number but said he won't answer my call. He has not answered my calls or text. Unbelievable, employees are very rude and refuse to give me a support phone number. read more

Avoid this car wash at all costs. First we tried to use our credit cards at the machine which wouldn't work. So my wife ran into the station to get a code. The rude cashier overcharged her a dollar more than the posted wash amount at the car wash machine and then fed her a bunch of BS that he couldn't correct it. During the car washing no soap came out during the wash and the car was left with a film of dirt over the entire vehicle since only water used. This is a 2022 Honda. I went back into the station and complained about the overcharge and the lack of soap. I asked for my money back and he kept playing dumb saying he couldn't do anything about it. I will never go to this place again or any other Shell Station! Will be filing a dispute with CC company. read more

To whom it may concern: I was in dire need of a bathroom today when I was at your Shell/Burger King station. I was indeed a customer. (Please lock your bathroom door if you cannot allow a person to use the bathroom. Going to the bathroom is a human right, and being treated like one has no rights is not a good way for customer retention. This exact facility had restroom access during this summer, this new feature of no restroom is a sudden change. I am used to feeling like this is a safe stop for fuel, last minute items, a snack, and the restroom). I had leaking sanitary menstrual issue and I needed to replace my sanitary supply. The door was unlocked and I went in. It should be noted that the power had been out at all of the facilities on Airport Blvd. including the Chevron gas station, as well as the smaller one on Old Redwood Hwy. When I entered the Shell bathroom I attempted to change my sanitary supply as quickly as possible. I had a mask and sanitizer with me. The worker banged on the door demanded I get out of the bathroom and store, and said that she would call the cops, even with my hand dirty from the menstrual mess. I asked if I could at least wash my hand first, and she said, "No, get out." I explained my situation and she could see my mess, and I asked where I could use the bathroom, she said, "go to Walmart". It should be noted I never did get to use your bathroom facility. I did as I was told and I exited your store with a bloody hand mess. I hurried to my vehicle used my hand sanitizer and went to the next closest bathroom. I will no longer be a customer at this Shell facility and I am considering not purchasing from Shell. My family and I normally purchase fuel, milk and car washes from this station. I realize that COVID requirements are stringent, but in no way should your facility be operating a fast food and mini mart store without a public restroom. If you cannot provide a porta potty outside or some facility, you are adding to the filth in our community by the mistreatment to anyone who needs a restroom coming off of the hwy. I have recently returned from a long drive on I-5 and all of restrooms at gas stations were available to customers. I felt humiliated and threatened while in a vulnerable and embarrassing situation today at your Shell station. I will reconsider shopping here moving forward. I do not recommend this facility, nor will give it any more business. There were two women working in the gas station at the time of this incident. I've been here twice and both times the pumps do not function properly. Today I paid $11 for an ultimate car wash and when I asked the clerks to allow me to go through again because my doors were still dirty, I was told that the Manager tells the clerks "This is a gas station car wash- you can't expect everything." Apparently that includes leaving with a clean car. It's so simple to make a customer happy - give them what they pay for. I won't be back and don't suggest you come by either. :( read more

The gas pump did not stop when my tank was full and as a result, more than 2 gallons spilled out before I noticed and rushed to shut it off. I ran to the gas attendants and explained the urgency of the hazard. The person at the next pump wouldn't start his vehicle until the gas dissipated. The attendants where useless. I had to dilute the spill from the windshield washer buckets. I felt I should be compensated for the more than 2 gallons spilled or at least get a carwash. The attendants said they couldn't do anything (not surprised about doing nothing) and left my name for the manager. Just as useless - no compensation or carwash as she said she couldn't do anything either. My family spends about $400 on gas a month - not anymore at Hembree Shell. read more

I tried to get gas, but the pump wasn't working properly. I tried to get a recipe, but it wouldn't print one. I was late for an appointment so I didn't go into the office. When I got home I called the bank and was charged$125. I went back and the assistant manager was extremely rude. WhenI called the next day she hung up on me. Never again! read more

After driving up to Windsor for the weekend and driving around during all the Bujalski Family Reunion festivities, a little gas in the tank is a must to get home. The Shell station is well appointed, but I became frustrated with the number of pumps that were out of service. That led to which side is the gas tank frustration, and wondering if the non-discount price was worth the trouble to stay loyal to the Pecten. read more

So almost two years later the gas station has the same issues. Pumps often out of order. Receipt dispensers never have paper in them and you have to walk inside and stand in line to get a copy of your receipt so you can use the car wash. Car wash machine still does not function properly and does not accept credit cards or payments directly. Some employees are apathetic when you bring issues to their attention. I avoid this place as much as I can. This station is in a good location and could thrive, however it has obviously been badly managed for years, you can't blame the employees at this point... read more

I used to like coming here at first, Then the cashier wouldn't accept my 20 for change for the air machine, which I did get, its probably on camera. I have worked 10 years in retail dude, not cool. I have taken 20's from people that looked hella shadier than me by the way. Not my responsibility to keep them smooth for your machine. Whatever. Be nice to people come on. What if it was my last 20 and I needed gas desperately? Would you really make me walk to Walmart or something? That's really out rite rude. Have some sense of decency. This is shell has gave me some really crappy service mainly the employee who works at night I'm a humble person just want food after work never did anything to him but he apparently thinks it's okay to be throwing things and looking really pissed off when I go and buy something then on top of that he doesn't receive my money unless I leave it on the counter he doesn't even talk to me to tell me how much my total is or anything from which when I have change he just throws back at me on the counter. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Wish they had hooks on the back of the stall doors to hang your purse. Otherwise, convenient place to stop for gas, get snacks, or fast food at Burger King. read more

STAY FAR AWAY...and NEVER give them your credit card. I drove through the car wash twice last month (maybe $7 each time) and was charged $100 for each visit! When I called the manager he said he could not help me and that I needed to deal with my bank. The manager told me this wasn't the first time this has happened. Yet, they're still in business.
