From the time Angie welcomes you as you enter until you leave, the entire office environment is a very positive, uplifting experience. I have worked primarily with Andrea and Paul although it is clear that everyone in the clinic is standing by ready and willing. You can tell that everyone is happy at their craft. Both Andrea and Paul are very thorough, professional and it's obvious that each are totally dedicated to their craft. I'm not sure how this works, but somehow they actually make physical therapy fun! No kidding! My orthopaedic surgeon had me assigned to another Physical Therapist after my surgery. I went and talked with that firm and told them I preferred to stay with TTN. The lady smiled and said that she's very familiar with TTN and said that I am they are as good as any firm in town. With my docs permission, I stayed with TTN and I'm glad I did. I assure you, if you are looking for a great Physical Therapist practice - congratulations, you have found just that! They have my strongest possible population.

Then I see they comment on all the positive reviews but as they have done me for the last year, ignore the negative reviews. Geoffrey Wright is just an example of a doctor who thinks he's God. Her flexibility, creativity and warm disposition make therapy a fun and inviting experience. She makes it fun and follows the lead of my child which is extremely important to me. The lovely ladies behind the front desk are so warm and welcoming. They get to know the kiddos so they are greeted with a smile as they walk in the door. My son has worked with 4 different OT's, we've had some unfortunate experiences. I've learned what I like and what I don't like and Ivy rehab is a step above other centers. I feel seen and heard, my son is also seen and respected. It means so much to me that no one is trying to "fix" or change him, but instead, they are fostering a trust based, child led approach and building a relationship with him. I needed someone to understand that many of his behaviors help him to regulate and are not harmful, that's exactly what I got. I know therapy and therapists are not one size fits all, but we are finally at home at Ivy rehab and my son feels loved.

I'd like to start by saying that while I haven't visited the physical building, I was referred here…read moreby my doctor to work with a dietitian to help me lose weight and improve my health. This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. We only get one shot at life; I may have started this battle late, but I'm determined to battle to the end. Thank you if you read all my ramblings. :) Thank you again Dennis. Tim

At this point, she's three weeks into her therapy and her condition has improved significantly. Before starting therapy a little trip to the supermarket (even using a scooter) was an ordeal resulting in a lot of pain and forcing her to lie in bed for hours upon returning home. After three weeks of therapy she is up most of the day and her normal pain level (ten point scale) has gone from nine or ten to around five. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the results so far and feel confident she will continue to improve. I have accompanied her to all visits and am involved in her treatment. The therapists she's worked with at In Motion are all professional and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and do a great job of explaining everything. It's obvious they really care about their patients. The front office staff is equally professional and friendly so the whole experience is is very positive, we always leave feeling good about our time there. Parking will never be an issue here as there is a very large private lot. The spacious lot is always free of debris and the walkup is clear however the entranceway to the business seems to be a popular spot for large flocks of Canada Geese to congregate. Watch your step because there is goose poop everywhere. The facility is well-equipped with everything one would expect to find at a modern physical therapy and training center. The layout is a little odd as In Motion shares the building with Chilled Ponds ice skating rink which is the training facility for the Norfolk Admirals. In Motion is located at the south end of the building. There is a glass partition between the two businesses so it's kind of cool to be able to watch various hockey teams or individuals practice or just skate. It's also neat to watch them resurface and clean the ice with the Zamboni. Wait times are minimal and service is great. They are flexible with appointments and accommodating to your schedules which is helpful. If you are in need of physical therapy or training I highly recommend Bon Secours In Motion at Chilled Ponds.

The Chilled Ponds ice rink is the anchor business. Bon Secours leases the space around the rink for its diverse set of full-body wellness activities, including physical fitness with a certified training coach, massage therapy, physical therapy and nutritional counseling services. Need to stay or get back into shape? You can save money by joining the Bon Secours "Breakfast Club." For $100/month you get one hour of physical training with a fitness coach per day (you choose which day(s) and hour between 6am and 11am), a free massage each month and a free hour of nutritional counseling to ensure you stay on track with your weight goals. There are no contracts. Start and end whenever you wish (warning: once you start, you won't want to stop.). Great staff and fellow worker outers! Your membership is good at any Bon Secours In Motion, which means you can use your massage therapy session in VA Beach if there are no appointments available in Chesapeake (Mike "Sully" at the Chesapeake location is only available on Tuesdays and he is FANTASTIC!). If you're not an early bird, you can always come after 12pm, but just know that the price doubles to $200/month if you do. I've never been an early riser, but saving $100/month to take care of myself and be physically able to run around and play with my grandkids one day turned me into one. Seriously, though. Where else can you go to get this much value for your dollar?
