So if you have mobility issues they have a wheelchair if you need it. I never had any issues with reception or making appointments. There are many text messages sent to remind you about your appointments, and the opportunity to do paperwork online and pay your co-pays ahead of your appointment. It really helps speed that proccess up. Dr. Cody Leeworthy was great. He was very knowledgeable, and provided me with information to keep my care continuing after I was released. He was respectful to me and my time while I was there as a patient. I took notice of other employees with their patients while I was doing my exercises. Those employees were so patient with their patients. I have been in and out of physical therapy over 15 years for various reasons. This location was professional in nature compared to past locations. So that was a plus for me.

My son broke his arm in September 2024, and we took him to Wardell Orthopaedics for treatment…read more While the medical care itself was adequate, the billing experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing. At the front desk, I explained that I wanted to pay in cash and was told the visit would not exceed $250. I paid that amount in full on the spot. Shortly after, I realized I had my insurance card with me and asked if the payment could be reverted so insurance could be used instead. The receptionist assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and processed it accordingly. Fast forward about a month, and I receive a bill in the mailed more than $1,100.00--a shocking amount that's over four times what I was initially quoted. Had I known this would be the outcome, I never would have authorized the insurance switch. The original agreement was a $250 cash payment, which I honored in good faith. This situation feels deceptive. There was no clear explanation of how using insurance could lead to such an inflated charge. It seems that once insurance was involved, the pricing structure changed entirely without my consent or proper disclosure. Patients and parents deserve transparency--especially when dealing with medical emergencies involving children. I strongly urge Wardell Orthopaedics to review their communication and billing policies. This experience has made me question whether I can trust this practice with my family's care in the future.

To be honest, I was not even a bit excited to begin going to PT. They have a 6,000 square foot facility INSIDE of the Bon Secours' Harbourview Medical Center. At first, it can be a bit difficult to find. If you park in the main medical parking lot, then head into the main entrance you will see the Wardell Ortho/Harbour Rehab entrance near the sandwich stand. The facility is quite nice, large windows surround the rehabilitating floor overlooking a small lake. They, also, have a television in the waiting area and free WiFi for patients. I've been seeing a Physical Therapist named Ed and a Physical Therapy Tech named Karen. Both of them are absolutely phenomenal to work with, I highly suggest asking for the both of them since they seem to have an abundance of experience/expertise. I have heard nothing but good things from fellow patients and friends of mine about their positive experiences. They have won "Best of the Best" so many times in HR that they have to find creative places to put them!

My therapist, K Gunjan (aka Mr. G) worked with me to teach me daily exercises that would alleviate my pain. Mr. G is truly a magician and will teach you alot about your back structure and the correct exercises to do daily. He was very professional and patient. Most of tge paperwork was done by touch on an iPad really cool. The answers were sent to the therapist electronically so by the time we went back, they "knew our case." Roland, our Physical Therapist, is amazing. He is kind and compassionate. Roland took the time to talk to us and tell us what the plan for therapy would be. The office looks smaller from the outside than it is. When you walk into the therapy room, it is airy and full of light. Calming color scheme. The exercise machines are modern and well-kept. The PTs are always cleaning and wiping machines to maintain a sanitary environment. The progress has been great. We are looking forward to reaching the set goals. We are confident that this is the right setting for treatment. We highly recommend using this location. Ask for Roland.

Under Dr. Robeson's care, I've always been taken care of. Let's see how this visit turned out. I was able to check in 30 minutes early since I made to drive from Norfolk. Once I was called up, they were able to weight me in (lost 9 pounds since my last visit), give a urine sample (results were good) and have my blood pressure taken (lower than my last visit). Overall, the blood results were good. Dr. Robeson, my primary care, suggested for me to start taking Mounjaro which'll help with weight loss for diabetics (me included). Of course, I'll have to incorporate exercising and changes to eating meals since it'll make myself full fast with increasing doses. So I'll have to see how the process is going this coming November for an appointment. So far, I feel fine using the product. We shall see what happens going forward. They sent me a "no-show" fine for $150 for 3 missed appointments. A heads up would've been nice. They never make reminder calls or confirmation calls at all, or even give out hard copies of appointment schedule because it is against their policy. When I try to contest the no-show fee, the rude manager pointed out that it was my fault and it is not difficult to remember two days out of a week for therapy.
