They told us we would have 3 movers at $45/hr per mover and gave us a maximum estimate of $300 for our 2 bed/2 bath apartment, which seemed reasonable. The day of our move, instead of 3 movers, there were 4. The entire time, under my supervision, I felt like I was watching 4 bulls handle our belongings. In less than 3 hours, they managed to rip our mattress, shatter our irreplaceable lampshade, break one of the drawers in our dresser and scratch our dining room table. The lead mover gave us $45 off to cover the lampshade, which was an estimate he made off the top of his head. Our balance due was over $100 over the initial estimate. We called the company after the movers left to complain and they asked us to send photos of the damage. We did. They never contacted us again. This company is ridiculous. There's no service agreement. There are no guarantees. And they should have never gotten our business.

I went to move it back to where it belonged and the wheel was broken. I told the guy, "you broke it." Sam said " No, you just broke it when you were rolling it, I saw you. It wasn't worth arguing about. When I went to put some boxes on my table I realized that there were huge gouges in it. My dresser also has a huge scratch all the way across the top that was NOT there before this company moved it. Don't use this moving company unless you don't care if they break all your things and scratch up your furniture. This move cost $700. I do not think his company was worth it. I will have to sand and refinish my whole table because of the gouges they put in it. How do you scratch a table that badly?

However, he lied to them and said he didn't get the money so the payers sent it twice. But in reality he did get it and instead of the AGREED upon price he got it twice. They called and called him to get their $500 back. He stopped answering telephone calls. And he still has yet to fulfill that promise of giving back their money. Maybe you should hired this guy if you like being ripped of (he especially likes to take advantage of the elderly)

We had to make a change and have them pack some of my Dad's thing and they were so kind and did such a great job. They were gentle and just sweet and nice movers. They drove to Sioux Falls the same day and unloaded everything and put it in it's place. Moving is stressful, but these guys made it pleasant. I can't recommend them enough. Great value for the money. Only concern I had, read the fine print. I ended up with a lot more…read morestuff to move than originally estimated and the only way I could get the ramp on the trailer was to put it in front of the bulkhead to hold all your stuff stable. I was packed tight to the ceiling and right to the back so I left a hole and put the ramp on first. On the first page it says not to do that but I didn't want Upack not to get the ramp back. But here's the deal, the ramp stays local and somebody else actually comes out to pick it up, not the guys moving your stuff. So, lesson learned, if you can't get it in the truck leave it on the ground next to the trailer. I tried calling but it was Sunday and nobody was available even at corporate. They agreed, it would be nice to have that clarity in bold on the front of the contract. On Monday, I already made the seven hour trip to my new location and called UPack to tell them the trailer was ready to be picked up with the ramp in front of the bulk head. Oh oh. It was going to cost me $1000 for a new ramp or go back and take it off. Upack said they couldn't, due to liability reasons. C'mon man. I did a work around and called the locals who were going to pick up the loaded trailer. They were nice enough to take it into town to their facility, undo the bulk head, take off the ramp and put the bulkhead back in at no extra charge. BIG relief. Sometimes common sense is still alive and well. Thanks to the local crew in Watertown, SD!!! Trailer delivered on time and as promised at both origin and destination. Picked up as scheduled as well with no hassle.
