Specifically asked if they were taking new patients and was told yes. They took down all my information and asked about my dogs temperment. I was honest and said she's a strong headed cattle dog and I do have meds I give her when we see the vet. They said they could get me in next week but would have their office manager call me back to schedule. On Wednesday right before 5pm they called and said they weren't taking new patients. I think it was a decision not to take on MY dog. I would have appreciated honestly in a timely manner. Instead I got an excuse that didn't make sense after I specifically asked if they were taking new patients.

They handle food and meds with ease and accuracy. They respond quickly to emails. They are always friendly and best of all, they treat our boy well! New to the area, our vet recommended Meadowpond to us a year ago and we are so glad she did!

We were looking for a place to board our dogs for a night or two while we visited Charlevoix in…read moreorder to enjoy the city without having to worry about them. I had contacted a facility closer to Charlevoix, but they wouldn't accept our dogs because they are pitbull mixes, and they recommended Meadowpond to us. I immediately requested a reservation on Meadowpond's website because any business that doesn't discriminate against our friendly pups deserves our business and support :) Anyway, the reservation process was super simple. You fill out the information on their site, and they called me about the reservation that week because we requested the reservation a month before our trip. They answered all my questions about how everything works with it being a 24/7 facility, and quickly got our dogs set up for their upcoming reservaton. Drop off was a little confusing because I didn't realize that there were two codes - one for the door into the facility and a different one for the code to their actual room. However, once that was figured out, they were in the room and ready to go in no time. They are able to share a room, and it is a good size for both dogs (45 and 55 pounds). The room also has a dog door so they could go to a private outdoor area to go to the bathroom or be outside whenever they wanted. We got to see pictures of the dogs on their FB page which was nice to know they were having fun and enjoying their time there. You are able to pick your dog up at any time during their stay, so the checkout process was as easy as us accessing the room with the code, gathering their belongings, and taking them out to the car. It was a breeze, so much so that I never even had to talk to anyone in person at the building. If we need to board our dogs in the area again, we'll definitely come back to Meadowpond!

I knew that Bokhara had been in business for many years and had a good reputation, so I decided to take him there . Charlie loves Bokhara and Erika and Shen who treat him like one of their own. He gets ao excited when we drive down the driveway and jumps out ot the car and runs to the door and scratches on it until I let him in. He loves to play with the other small dogs and he gets lots of exercise. I have had Charlie groomed at Bokhara and Erika does a wonderful job even though Charlie tries to bite her! I had taken him to PetSmart in the past but they will not let me schedule appointments there and one other groomer cut him quite badly and didn't even telll me so I quit taking him there. Another reason I would recommend Bokhara is how reasonable their prices are for both boarding and grooming.I don't know what I would do without them.
