Salon Burget is a hidden GEM!…read more The salon: Do not let the exterior of being in a strip mall fool you. The interior is stylish, inviting and cozy. The stations are clean and spacious enough to feel like you're not imposing on anybody else who is getting their hair done. The service: I get full or partial highlights + a cut about every 6 weeks and if you don't have the right stylist it can be pretty hard on your hair. This was the case before I found Makayla! I've been to her 3x now and she's a wonderful stylist. She brought my hair back to life and the appointments have all been very relaxing and enjoyable. She is incredibly sweet, thoughtful and funny. There's about a 15 year age difference between us and we get along just like old friends. She is also a great listener and always wants to make sure she had my cut and color exactly as I wanted it. 10/10 - I'm so happy I found a stylist who can tame my unruly hair and make sure I have a nice time while doing so. Attached is a picture I took from inside the salon right after a cut & partial highlight.

I won't call out any names, because I do hope this was a one time thing, but I had asked for a cut and a balayage. The cut was fine, but the balayage was the worst I have ever seen. She used foils, when its a hand painting technique (I know very little about hair, but I know that) when she was putting on the foils, I didnt say anything because shes the expert, not me. but clearly she didn't know how a balayage is done. She didn't give me a mirror to check out her work, so I didn't see the extent of the damage until I was home- I was mortified. I immediately found someone to fix it, and it still isn't what I'd want, but still a lot better than what I got from Moxie. Overall I spent $350 on a botched hair dye (including the cost of the correction) There is no way she didn't know she did a bad job, I wish she would have acknowledged that, but she didn't say anything and accepted my payment and tip.

(After my appointment I definitely already sent a link to their site to a close friend!) I had never gotten my hair professionally colored before and was super nervous since I have super dark, and super long thick hair - that alone feels like a burden when I go to a regular stylist/salon in itself but when I came to Reign (using their digital consoltation form), all of my worries melted away! It was such an easy process to reach out, talk about my desires for my hair, and book! From the start, seeing Reign's work through social media leading up to reaching out for an appointment got me SO excited to let them play with my hair! They are so understanding, accepting, and such a welcoming soul - so refreshing!! From start to finish there was such an open line of communication I felt so comfortable and understood even before stepping inside their private studio. Speaking of private studio- YES A PRIVATE STUDIO- gosh it's so amazing!! I felt so at home the whole afternoon I was getting my hair done and had such a fun yet relaxing time chatting up the afternoon with them. This was such an amazing change to a more personalble experience rather than feeling rushed like at a normal salon. When looking for a stylist, a high level of trust and comfotablitly was super important to me and with the open line of communication it helped tremendously in both areas. I pride myself in my hair and with the nature of it being so long, it had been a hard journey for me to find a stylist I trust to cut and color it, but now that I've found Reign I'm not going anywhere else!! I highly recommend anyone and everyone who is looking for an awesome, personable transformative EXPERIENCE! Thank you so much Reign!!!
