Jerime didn't do the job himself, sending Carl and Caleb instead. They were clean, polite, efficient, and thorough. They showed up on-time, didn't bat an eyelash at the heat-pump inter-tie we had connected to the drain port on the old unit, or that we needed an expansion-tank installed (which we also purchased from Lowes). They got the job done in a little under 2 hours, including a fair amount of copper pipe work above the new unit to attach the expansion tank.

The work was completed, but the owner's discourteous behavior, paired with the numerous excuses to…read moredelay work, earned a two-star rating. The owner's remarks, including his statement of irritation and having other jobs to do, were unacceptable. The skid steer ran over two of our blueberry bushes that would have produced berries this year, and the brickwork around our front garden was damaged, and when we expressed concern that our bushes might be damaged, we were told by the owner that "bushes aren't a priority". Although the sewage system he installed appears to be working, it took over seven hours to complete when we were told it would be done within two to three hours. Furthermore, the installation left the new exterior cleanout open, leaving it vulnerable to anything that may gain entry. The discourtesy extended to us as homeowners was unwarranted and unacceptable. Although the owner was not rude to my mother, who was paying for the service as a gift, his behavior towards me and my wife as the homeowners was inappropriately rude. We hired him based on a recommendation from a local plumber, but we would not do so again in the future. Unfortunately, he is one of the only options for septic work in the area, which he is aware of.

Brian McGee inspected two house we sold. We lived in one for 25 years and never had a septic issue…read more he inspected after 6" of rain in the two days before. of coarse it failed ground was saturated everywhere . he told buyers a story that it need a system that would cost close to $30,000!!!! Money was put in escrow. We moved to a house in Clinton that had and inspection done by Brian McGee again, same story entire line needs replace, would be over $20,000 just to replace line. Keep in mind previous place needed two tanks, a pump and 8 loads of dirt hauled in. Appears that Mr McGee doesn't want to work for a fair wage, gouging anywhere he can. We got two other opinions on Clinton house, and was determined that it just needed a piece of line replaced for a few thousand dollar. I then called the buyers rep from sale of previous home and discussed what unfolded, he contacted the new owner of that home. they got another opinion and it was determined to not even touch the septic system, the fix was to dig trench drain between pond and septic field and add 6" of dirt over top of entire lateral field. Again, this work was completed for a few thousand dollars. New buyer was extremely satisfied and we had we had approximately $25,000 returned to us. Then Mr McGee called the county health department and told them that the guy was out doing a system without a permit. The honest contractor didn't touch the septic system, he was over 50' from it. Mr McGee was upset that he drug his feet for over 4 months and lost another job. If he would've worked efficiently and as hard as the guy that did it, the job would've been done and he would've made approximately $20,000 profit for a couple days work. if you are doing a septic syste, call D&R Out of Osceola, 417-309-9636, a good honest man that just wants a fair wage for a hard days work!!!!! I would certainly wish that ALL of the realtors and Bankers in this area would refrain from using Brian McGee (AKA: Chicken Little) for inspections, he puts the fear in buyers that the sky is falling and there have been people that backed out of contracts because of this guy trying to retire off from each job!!!

I wanted to start out with something small to see what kind of work he did as we've had pretty awful luck with other local handymen. I was impressed that he responded to my initial contact within the hour. I described the project, sent him pics of exactly what needed to be done and received his quote back promptly. He was able to work us into his schedule very quickly, arrived exactly at the time he said he would and did a wonderful job. In fact, I'll go so far as to say he did a perfect job. He was friendly, but didn't waste time chit chatting, went straight to work and had completed the job AND cleaned up his mess very quickly. He offered a very reasonable fee for the job I needed done and stuck to that fee even after I added a small thing I'd forgotten to mention when I initially contacted him. I will absolutely call upon him again for future needs, am thrilled that he has such versatile skills and will recommend him with no hesitation whatsoever, something I rarely do. I am remodeling and renovating a property in the Warsaw area and have been thru a series of local repairmen and handypersons who have repeatedly ripped us off, had horrible work ethic and/or accepted work far beyond their capability and then had to hire someone else to fix what they "fixed" and made worse.
