I hired Aaron in September 2024 to address water leaking from our master bathroom shower, which had…read morecaused drywall damage and mold. He charged $290 to re-caulk the shower, replace the door seal, and repair the drywall. He also claimed he found no moisture behind the wall using a moisture reader. Unfortunately, I noticed staining reappearing shortly after. After multiple delays and excuses, he returned months later and said a faulty gasket was likely the issue. I paid an additional $180 for the part and labor in January 2025. Despite repeated, polite follow-ups, he never returned to do the work and eventually stopped responding entirely. Now, in June 2025, we've discovered water stains on the kitchen ceiling -- directly under the same shower -- confirming an active leak and likely structural damage. If he had followed through promptly, we could have avoided what may now be a far more expensive repair. I'm out nearly $500 for incomplete and ineffective work, and I'm incredibly frustrated by the lack of accountability or follow-through. I would not recommend this handyman to anyone.

I sent him a screenshot of his estimate. He agreed that was his by saying that was his estimate because he hadn't seen the property. But he had said he hadn't talked to me before. Then I got a few more emails from him, each very rude. I wrote saying to never mind and that he'd lost a job. DO NOT USE THIS MAN. If there was a negative rating, he would get that!

We were fairly new to Gainesville, and living in an apartment while waiting to sell our home in…read moreWisconsin. We weren't really in a hurry, but stopped by a few Parade homes in the fall. At one, we met Tom. He was super knowledgeable about the house and entire area, but the house wasn't right for us. He recommended other neighborhoods we might be interested in and promised not to hound us if we gave him our info. And he truly didn't, which we really appreciated. We got back in touch with him and told him about some homes we were interested in seeing. He quickly set up appointments at all of them, and spent pretty much the whole day with us on Thanksgiving weekend, though I know he had company visiting. We told him we'd go to one of the houses that afternoon, as they had an open house that day. I thought it was a waste of time when I saw he had us going privately to that house. We saw about half a dozen houses that day, of all types in all sorts of neighborhoods. Tom did a wonderful job ferreting out what was important to us-he's a great listener! At the end of the day, he took us back to that Open House we'd mentioned-it was just ending, and he encouraged us to take another look. Both my husband and I knew definitively during our 2nd look that it was the perfect house for us. It turned out to be absolutely fortuitous that we had seen it earlier. After brief consultation, Tom submitted our offer that day, and helped us negotiate over the next day. We ended up with just what we wanted, and feel his knowledge was key in achieving that. It certainly didn't stop then. Tom spoke to us about different lenders and vendors for certain services. We still shopped around, but always ended up with the companies Tom had recommended and it served us well. He was quite helpful all the way up to and including the closing (offered a few inspection companies and set up the inspection with the one we chose, came to our walk thru and noticed little things for the seller to fix that we would never have seen), and has even followed up with us in the ensuing weeks, ensuring we were satisfied with how everything was going. Outstanding sphere of knowledge (neighborhoods, amenities, builders, valuations, etc...) Outstanding client service Would not hesitate for a second to recommend Tom as your realtor. My husband says he concurs!
