excellent selection of tremendous craft beer. I just moved back to Alberta after six years in Vancouver and I've spent a lot of time in Seattle and Portland and the brews here at Hells Basement hold up to some of the best in the Pacific Northwest. A great fleet of regular beers; I love the IPAs and some splendid flavours of feature taps. A must try for craft beer lovers. read more

The beer is good. But the vibe....well there is none. The lone employee/bartender could not have been less interested in her job and any attempts at.conversation were shut down with her obvious disinterest in being there. However she did speak a ton when her friend should up and she proceeded to unload all the woes of her current relationship. It was nice to have entertainment provided but it felt like being in the middle of a tv reality show. So. If you want decent beer but dont care about good service or feeling welcome this is the place to go. And for the record disintested service...you probably are a great person and you dont deserve to be treated the way he is treating...dump him and find someone who will respect you read more

I have had excellent customer service. love the delivery aspect. I sent my kids beer for Easter and they delivered to each of their homes. I love you can take your dog to the patio. great way to end a long walk. thanks for supporting local events as well. kerp up the good work read more

And you don't even think of changing the name of your town. It's all your own and the only hat of its kind on earth." - Rudyard Kipling 1907 Six courageous beer lovers from Medicine Hat along with their families, friends, and countless members of the community worked tirelessly for six months to bring quality, craft beer to Medicine Hat.

Hells basement is my favourite brewery!! They have a great selection of beers and cocktails (the labelling and product names are also awesome and very unique)! The staff is knowledgeable about their products; the tasting room is a fun atmosphere and patio is great on a hot day. I highly recommend checking them out! read more
