Hello Kitty Cafe Chateau is a themed cafe in Mexico City. It's about 20-30 minutes south of the city center and is designed to be like a mini mansion or castle. Everything is decked out in Hello Kitty theme, from the entrance to the fountain to the decor to the pink everywhere. You can make reservations online and while we didn't, we went right at open and were seated right away.
The gudetama croque madame ($210 MXN) had soft bread and I liked the cheese and béchamel sauce. The hello kitty chilaquiles chiltepin ($235) sauce was good and the chips still had a decent crunch. The hello kitty concha ($60) was okay and not as soft as others I've had. The hello kitty red velvet heart ($230) was also just okay. For drinks, the hello kitty irish coffee ($120) was fine and I expected a little more out of the hello kitty pink latte ($95) design.
After our meal we were given a complimentary tour of the HK house which included a couple themed rooms of the characters in the HK universe. This is only if you spend at least $340 MXN per person during your meal. If you are a fan of Hello Kitty it is a cool experience to check out. read more
